It’s that time of the year again where there’s so much going, but you have to watch the weather! In the event that Hurricane Dorian has given you a bad case of cabin fever, here are a few great events to get you out and about.

The Jags are back and are taking on the Chiefs at their home field, TIAA Bank Feild. The game starts at 1 pm, but we all know the fun really starts at the tailgate! No need to fear, GTE is here. That is the Gameday Tailgate Experience. They are the ultimate, no fuss, no mess way to get your Sunday Funday football party off to a great start. This tailgate experience is all-inclusive. You’ll enjoy unlimited food and a four-hour open bar with hundreds of fans! Yes, even you Chiefs fans are invited.
The food, beverages (must be 21+ to drink, 8 and under are free!), covered seating areas, live music & entertainment, celebrity host meet and greets are for everyone to enjoy. With family-friendly tailgating games like cornhole and amenities like TVs and Bathrooms, you can rest assured the whole family can have a good time.

The 6th annual BRUVAL Craft Beer Festival celebrates Duval’s rapidly growing craft beer movement right. Best part? It takes place right in the heart of Jacksonville Beach! This event is family-friendly and free for all to attend. You can walk around and take in the scenery of the beautiful Jacksonville beach or you can enjoy the ultimate experience with a ticket into the craft beer sampling area. Ticket holders can try dozens of brews, all while enjoying live music, games, local vendors, and good times!
Want to look like a pro? Grab some string and throw some pretzels on it. Eat one, two, (or five) between tastings to cleanse your palate and make sure you are experiencing the full flavor of each beer that you try!
For all of you who thought being vegan was a trend, think again! Whether you are looking to live a healthier lifestyle or are completely Straight Edge, the Jax Veg Fest is where you want to be this weekend. They are a local grassroots festival devoted to environmental awareness, animal advocacy, and education located at Riverside Park. This event happens just three times a year, so don’t miss it! Not vegan? That’s totally cool. Oh My Cod Vegan Seafood Co. is going to be there with some awesome plant-based goodies. Start there, you won’t be disappointed.

The Night Nation Run is the world’s 1st running music festival and they are back in Jacksonville for an epic night. Night nation run is the ultimate blend of a Music Festival and a Fun Run. You can’t miss this music-filled course with live DJs, light shows, bubble zones, neon, and black lights. This is one for the books, so don’t forget to slather yourself in all that is fluorescent.
Did you know that dancing is a great way to warm up? This party starts with a DJ at 6:30PM so you can show up and show out on the dance floor before you smoke everyone in the race! Can’t get there early? No worries, the real party begins after you cross the finish line.
