Hey Miami! This weekend is filled with great events happening in and around the city. If you’ve been with us for a while, then you probably know that we love talking about the different neighborhoods that make up not just Miami, but all of South Florida. And that means, talking about the amazing events, restaurants, and businesses that are based in Broward County.
We cover a 75-mile radius from the city center of Miami. We figured we’d tell you guys about the events and let you make the call if they’re worth the drive.
Now that that’s cleared up, we won’t make you wait any longer! Let’s jump right in!
A bunny invasion is coming to Miami! Pinecrest Gardens is skipping the egg hunts and bringing us this fun art light installation. Created by Parer Studio’s, their artwork has been seen across the world. Event goers are encouraged to take selfies and use the hashtag, #BigBunnyInvasionPG! There will also be vendors and live entertainment every night.
Gates open at 6:30PM and entrance is $5. Children 2 years old and younger get in for FREE!
Miami’s most iconic neighborhood is telling its own story this season. The Wynwood Stories is an immersive theatre experience that’ll take you all the way back to 1917 when Wynwood was known as Wynwood Park. Back to the time when this neighborhood was the third largest garment district in the country. This is truly an unforgettable experience and opportunity to learn how Wynwood became what it is today.
You have the option of choosing from two different experiences, Route 2 or 32–each being unique. Complimentary cocktails will also be provided throughout the journey!
Who doesn’t love a good farmer’s market? Especially when it’s taking place at Brickell City Centre! Hang out and shop your favorite produce, local artisan goodies, and more! You guys know how much we love markets, but this one is special because it’s surrounded by amazing restaurants and fun places to visit.
Arrr! This signature event is back in Downtown Fort Lauderdale–we’re so excited for this pirate invasion! The festival will feature so many fun activities like a climbing wall, live cannon show, a dunk tank, paddle boards, kayaks, and raft races! Plus drinks and yummy grub! Entrance is FREE. Parking will be available at the Broward County Garage and City Park Garage.
The Longines Global Champions Tour is bringing top-ranked athletes to compete in the world’s premier show jumping series right here in Miami Beach! Enjoy the amazing view as riders jump beyond belief. Entrance to this sporting event is FREE!
Keep in mind, the Longines Global Champions Tour only happens in select cities and Miami is one of two in the USA that this tour takes place. It’s such a different experience, so don’t miss this three-day event!
Things We’re Excited About for This Upcoming Spring:
Root & Bone Miami: This new kid on the block is making a mark on Miami. Root & Bone first started in New York but Chefs Mcinnis and Janine Booth have brought their American cuisine with a southern flair to the heart of the Magic City! We’re obsessed. Add this to your brunch list ASAP!
We’re still a month away from Grillin ‘N Chllin but we’re so excited because we love a good barbecue! Expect different styles like Memphis, Texas, and Kansas City barbecue to the well-known Brazilian Churrasco and Argentine Parrillada.
