Advanced Certified ScrumMaster®(A-CSM®) is part of the Scrum Alliances Path to Certified Scrum Professional®. The A-CSM® is an in-depth two-day immersion into the world of the ScrumMaster role.

The two-day workshop is full of interactive exercises, practical real-life examples, and lively discussion and will equip you with the knowledge required to move past understanding Scrum just as process. It will help you focus on using Scrum to address the issues that arise in your Agile environment.

The class explores Agile Facilitation and Agile Coaching and how the ScrumMaster uses these skills to support the team, the Product Owner and the Organization.

Certified Scrum Professional®-Scrum Master® (CSP-SM®) is an in-depth two-day immersion into the world of Scrum and the role of a professional Scrum Master.

The class provides a deep dive into Lean Thinking, visual facilitation techniques, remote teams, and more as we examine the relationship of the Scrum Master to the product owner, the team, and the organization.

Filled with real-world examples from the attendees’ experiences, you’ll leave this class with practical tools and techniques that can be implemented immediately at your workplace.

Certified Scrum Professionals challenge their teams to improve the way Scrum and Agile principles are applied. CSP-SM®s have demonstrated experience, documented training, and proven knowledge in Scrum.

Prerequisites

• To attend theA-CSM® you must currently hold a CSM® certification and have at least 1 year of work experience in a Scrum Master role in the last five years.
• To attend theCSP-SM® you must currently hold the A-CSM® Certification and have at least 2 years of work experience in the Scrum Master role in the last five years.
• In order to validate work experience, it must be entered on candidate’s Scrum Alliance profile in Scrum Experience section where it is noted that this is required for Path to CSP applications.
• Day-to-day involvement with at least one Scrum Team and a mandate to work with the broader organization.

In order to receive a refund, you must notify us no later than 10 business days prior to the event's start date. Cancellation requests received within 10 days of the start will be issued a credit that can be applied towards a future class within the next 12 months.

Meet Your Instructors

Kate Megaw is the Founder and CEO of ARCLight Agile where she specializes in working with organizations on their #JourneytoAgility. She helps teams on their journey to empowerment and collaboration, to achieve faster decision making and therefore a focus on customers and their rapidly changing needs. Kate works with leaders throughout the organization, regardless of department, to create a more agile approach to leadership that encourages innovation, flexibility, and empowered teams, allowing organizations to achieve their purpose.

Kate is a dynamic Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), Project Management Professional (PMP), and Certified Team Coach (CTC), with over 20 years working in Education, Operations, Project Management, IT, and Consulting.

With her finely honed communication and presentation abilities, complemented by strong planning, organizational and people management skills, Kate is a popular speaker at events. She is a motivator and encourager and is happiest when she breaks through to a client and leads them to the ‘aha’ moment.

Before moving to the United States, Kate received her Bachelor’s degree in Information Management from the Queen’s University of Belfast in Northern Ireland.

Anu Smalley is the President and Founder of Capala Consulting Group, LLC where she specializes in Executive coaching and Agile Transformations. She is also an Enterprise Agile Coach and Certified Scrum Trainer® - providing education and coaching, consulting services to clients across the United States. An IT professional with over 25 years of industry experience, Anu holds a Master's degree in Psychology from Osmania University in India and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University, Ohio.

Anu has extensive experience with large scale agile transformations, integral to the success of the likes of Capital One through her training and coaching expertise. She has specialized in leadership coaching and large group facilitation. Anu has established internal agile coaching Centers of Excellence for several clients to allow self-sustained coaching of their agile transformations. She has developed a coaching program specifically designed for evolving organizational leaders. Anu speaks frequently at conferences both nationally and internationally on Agile Leadership, Product Ownership, Coaching, and Group Facilitation Techniques.

Anu is passionate about coaching and training others, dedicated to helping to achieve professional and personal success. She has also committed to improving the agile community through several activities.
