Learn how an excellent cup of coffee is made, from the origin point on the farm to the roastery to the coffee house to your cup.
Veteran baristas Mike & Ali will lead the session, explaining:
– How roasting affects flavor
– How industry pros sample & evaluate coffee by “cupping” (attendees will sample two different coffees to learn cupping method)
– How the brewing method affects taste (attendees will sample three different types of brewed coffee: batch-brewed hot coffee (percolating), Kyoto cold-brewed coffee (percolating), siphon-brewed hot coffee (immersion))
Each attendee will receive a bag of coffee beans to take home, and Mike & Ali will share tips for brewing great coffee at home.
