Course description:

In this course, we will explore all the elements that go into making beautiful and long-lasting composite resin restorations. Picture this; a patient walks into your office with worn, broken down teeth and compromised smile. Composite resin can be a great, cost-effective material to help patients get their smile back. In this hands-on workshop, Dr. Mennito will show you how you can utilize tools like dental photography, direct composite mock-ups, and modern dental materials to win the confidence of your patients and deliver the highest esthetic outcomes.

Topics covered will include:

• Learn the basics of dental photography to enhance your patient and laboratory communication.
• Understand smile design concepts
• Utilize mock-up and smile design (digital and analog) for increasing case acceptance
• Review bonding materials and best practices for increasing restoration longevity
• Conquer the class IV utilizing multiple techniques and composite systems

Instructor: Dr. Anthony Mennito

Dr. Anthony Mennito, better known as Tony, is an Associate Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina, College of Dental Medicine where he is the Director of the Division of Digital Dentistry. Aside from his love of dental technology, Dr. Mennito also has a passion for dental materials, in particular bonding agents and composite resin. He is part of a team with a patent for a novel antimicrobial bonding agent and is the Chief Operating Officer for CuRE Innovations, a company whose sole mission is to improve the clinical longevity of dental materials. In his free time Tony enjoys playing soccer, surfing and traveling.
