Kumail Nanjiani

Tampa Theatre and AEG Presents welcome Oscar-nominated writer, Emmy-nominated and SAG Award-winning actor, and critically acclaimed producer and comedian Kumail Nanjiani to the Theatre’s historic stage at 7:00 pm Saturday, Nov. 1,5 for a stop on his Doing This Again Tour!

Nanjiani recently won a SAG Award for his recurring role in the 4th season of the hit Hulu series Only Murders in the Building and earned an Emmy nomination for his compelling portrayal of Chippendales founder Somen “Steve” Banerjee in Hulu’s limited series, Welcome to Chippendales, for which he also served as an executive producer.

Recently, Nanjiani was seen in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire alongside returning cast-members Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon, which hit theaters in March 2024. On the animation side, Nanjiani lent his voice to Migration, a Universal Pictures adventure-comedy now available on VOD. Additionally, Kumail can be seen regularly doing stand-up shows around some of LA’s greatest comedy theaters, and participated in this year’s Netflix Is a Joke Festival.

Nanjiani will soon be seen in the new James L. Brooks film, Ella McCay, alongside an all-star cast that includes Emma Mackey, Woody Harrelson, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Albert Brooks. He will also star in the 2nd season of the hit Peacock series Poker Face and is releasing his first stand-up comedy special in more than ten years on Hulu.
