SHOPPER FAQ’s:

When should I go?

Shoppers who want to get first dibs on the bargains—and appreciate a high energy atmosphere should head to Le Garage Sale first thing on Saturday. Shoppers begin lining up in the hour prior to doors opening, so expect a crowd. Then again, if you prefer a more leisurely shopping experience, come later in the day Saturday or Sunday.  FYI, many retailers will re-stock overnight—and often mark their prices down even more on the last day (Sunday)!  With over 100+ boutiques/designers in attendance, you are not going to miss out whichever way you decide to do it!!

How do I pay?

Admission is $10.00 per person, per day on Saturday & Sunday—or $25 for VIP PreShop (EARLY admission!!) on Sat. morning @ 9:30 – 11:00 am. Tickets can be purchased at the door —-or skip the line and get your tickets in advance thru Event Brite on you phone!  There are ATM’s on site (with bank transaction fees).

Who do I Pay for Merchandise?

Every vendor processes their own sales, so you must pay for your merchandise at each booth. Some vendors may be cash only– but most will accept credit cards or venmo….just ask them.

What is the entrance fee used for? Door charges cover venue costs, advertising, insurance, staffing, and all the millions of little things that have to happen to make this event a reality. Remember, the stores are selling at or below cost, so Le Garage Sale keeps their participant fees low so they can pass those savings on to you!!!

Parking?

Parking is available at the Palmer Parking Garage, adjacent to the facility with two entrances (from Barton Springs Road or Riverside Drive). Cost: Parking is $8 for most events, with a “Special Event” parking rate of $10 when posted.  Follow this link for more parking details/directions:  http://www.palmereventscenter.com/directions/parking_2.htm Your best bet is to come with a few of your friends and car pool or use a ride share service!

Are there change rooms?

Some stores set up a change room area but most do not. And because it’s final sale, unless you are comfortable “le nu”, dress accordingly. Many women wear biker shorts, bathing suits, modest lingerie. And voila! You’re prepared to score une grand affaire!!

Are strollers allowed?

Of course!! We love the little ones! Navigating is definitely easier after the first two hours of opening day so you might want to plan accordingly!

What is there to eat and drink?

Coffee, snacks, sandwiches, salads—and a full bar!

Covid Precautions?

December 29, 2021 Update: The City of Austin has issued a mask mandate ordinance (effective Aug. 12, 2021). Masks are to be worn regardless of vaccination status in or on City property, and on property the City owns, manages or controls. This includes the Austin Convention Center and the Palmer Events Center. Any updates to this mandate will be posted on our social media and our website.
