Lola Vialet, born into a family of singers, songwriters, DJs, rappers & classical pianists that inspired Lola to follow her own pathway, uses her life as the storyboard to create music for those willing to listen. Using the rawness of her own experiences, she cultivates safe spaces and rooms for truth and vulnerability in the form of storytelling. Lola fuses her love of neo-soul, musical theater, gospel, hip hop, and folk music to create a world of sounds and layers in her music and on stage that captivates the world she lives in.
Her warm and passionate, yet powerful and electric tone creates an open door for her listeners to dive heart-first into the stories told and sonics used. Some of her influences include We Are King, Jill Scott, Stephany Gretzinger, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Dwele, Stevie Wonder, Musiq Soulchild, and more.
As a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music ‘21, she excelled in songwriting and musical theater, being the first woman and woman of color to play a male role in the theater department. She later gained leadership from Music Director Rob Lewis and Grammy Nominated Saxophonist Tia Fuller and had the opportunity to perform tribute concerts for Sylvia Rhone, Missy Eliot, and Celine Dion. Post graduation, she served as an intern for her mentor, 2x Grammy Nominated singer/songwriter & producer Eric Roberson, and his independent label “Blue Erro Soul”. Lola later had the opportunity to work closely with DJ Jazzy Jeff as an artist, producer, songwriter and vocal arranger, collaborating with legends such as James Poyser, Vidal Davis, Daniel Crawford, and Kaidi Tatham in the process.
