Older kids and teens ages 10-14 are invited to the NY Energy Zone in Utica for a special hands-on workshop with STEAM author and educator Kathy Ceceri! Learn how solar energy works, then design and build a model solar-powered house to take home! You'll find out how to add recycled solar panels and light up your model with the sun or a flashlight.
The workshop is FREE and will be held on Sunday July 30 from 2 to 3:30 pm.

We highly recommend you arrive early and take a FREE tour of the John S. Dyson New York Energy Zone – it’s powerful fun for kids of all ages! Average tour time is 90 minutes.
The NY Energy Zoneis located at 35 Utica Zoo Way in Utica, and open 7 days a week 10 am - 5 pm (except for certain holidays). There is no admission charge.
