Just like that, the decade’s over and 2020 has begun! Looking back at 2019…Minshew Mania kicked off and baby Yoda memes started, who knows what’s in store for 2020! We swear each year goes by faster and faster, but not to worry because we’re about to get you guys pumped for the best stuff to do in Jacksonville.

Are you ready for a 26-mile beach block party?! The DONNA Marathon Weekend held annually on the second weekend of February is the biggest “National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer.” With over 10,000 runners from all over the country and scenic views during your run through Atlantic Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, Neptune Beach, and Jacksonville Beach, this is a must!

Light up the night with more than 5,000 Jax locals and people from all over on February 15th! The Jacksonville Magazine has its 3rd Annual Jacksonville Lantern Parade that will stretch from the Fuller Warren Bridge down the St. Johns River to Laura Street.
An illuminated celebration of creativity, art, children, and the St. Johns River, this event will have all the food and fun you can imagine and it’s FREE to the public. Did we mention there will also be a fireworks show?!
Be sure to check out the lantern workshops to see where you can make yours!
Pro Tip: Bring something that twinkles, glows, or shines to add to the festivities!

Fuller Warren Bridge to Laura Street
This “brief” fun run takes place right in the middle of a big party. No pressure to make a certain mile time or be competitive, just have fun for a good cause!
Did you know that Neurofibromatosis affects 1 in every 3,000 children born? Cupid’s Undie Run is done in underpants because those affected can’t cover up the tumors to feel more comfortable, so we’re not going to either!
Be sure to register and come out to raise money for a great cause. Oh, and don’t worry if you don’t want to wear your underpants feel free to dress up in a fun costume!

Time to par-TEE! If you live in Jacksonville, then you know we have to mention the iconic The Players Championship.
This annual golf tournament on the PGA Tour is fun for anyone–even if you’re not the biggest fan of golf you can still enjoy some refreshing beers, good times, and great company. You’ll get to watch big golf professionals like Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlory, and more play for the championship.
Shake your groove thing at the Springing the Blues Festival this April! Held at the Seawalk Pavilion, this festival is free to the public and is an outdoor blues music festival that celebrates America’s indigenous musical form.
This three-day oceanfront festival not only will feature some of the best blues artists but will also include food, local vendors, kids’ activities, and so much more!
We recommend purchasing VIP tickets for the ultimate experience!
📷 Clay County Agricultural Fair
One of our favorite fairs of the year will be coming up before you know it. Mark your calendars for April 2–11, for the Clay County Agricultural Fair!
From concerts, fair rides, all the fried Oreos you can eat, livestock exhibits, and so much more, you’ll want to be sure to play a family trip to the fairgrounds. It’s great for date night, too!

One of the largest, not to mention FREE, Jazz Festivals in the country is back in Jacksonville for the 40th Annual Jazz Festival in downtown Jax!
Get ready for an epic street party full of tasty food, good fun, our amazing city community, and of course tons of FREE live entertainment by some of the best Jazz musicians around the country!
This event is free to the public, but getting a VIP ticket includes some extra perks:

We’re all about the festivals near the beach, so of course, we have to highlight the Beaches Freedom Festival!
From some of Jacksonville’s top food trucks, family-friendly festivities to live music, this festival is a must. There’s also hotdog eating contests and corn hole competition! This year will even have more.
The dates haven’t been announced yet, but be sure to keep checking back with us and we’ll let you know when it’s announced with all the details.
Kowabunga! Get ready for some surf, sun, and good times at the Void PRO/AM later in 2020. Presented by Kona Brewing Co, this surfing competition is so much fun and is held at the Jacksonville Beach Pier every year.
From professionals to surfers who just want to have some fun, you’ll be able to see talented surfers from all over. They also announced they’ll be offering equal pay to all men’s and women’s professional divisions!
Dates are TBA and we’ll let you know the 4-1-1 as soon as we can, so keep coming back to check!
Jacksonville Beach Pier
Each year, we’re blown away as we stroll the streets of the Historic Springfield District listening and dancing to some of the best musicians in the area at PorchFest!
Not only do you get to listen to some funky jams, but there’s always a ton of other festivities going on like:
- Jaguars Marching Band Performance
- Food Trucks Galore
- Local Vendors
- Live Concert
- Tons of Beer & so much more!
Did we mention this event is dog-friendly?! Those are the best!
