Drivers, Start Your Engines! 💨

Did you really think the only chance to witness cars racing through city streets is in a video game? The roar of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg says otherwise, returning in March 2023!

  • What to Wear?

Please use comfortable shoes! Your feet will thank you after Grand Prix. The last thing you want is to have sore feet 😖

  • Protect Your Skin

Yup, you heard us. We don't want to parent you, but you'll be under the sun for who knows how long! Make sure to take breaks under the shade, and wear lots of sunscreen!

  • Know the Schedule

Keep in mind as you make your way around that at certain times you may need to cross the race track. For safety reasons, the race track is open for crossing periodically.

  • Charge Your Phone!

We can't count the number of times our phones have died in the worst of moments. You'll be out and about, having fun - BOOM, where's everyone? Whoops, your phone's dead.

  • Have a Big Bite

Make sure to have something to eat before heading to Grand Prix, and that you snack throughout the day, too!

  • Is Anyone Performing?

The season opener will have country music star, Trace Adkins, as a main performer!

  • Where's the Track?

Streets of St. Petersburg, 1.8-mile, 14-turn temporary street circuit (clockwise) through downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, including a runway of Albert Whitted Airport

  • Race Distance

    100 laps / 180 miles (NTT INDYCAR SERIES) | 45 laps / 81 miles / 55 minutes (INDY NXT by Firestone)

  • The Kings

Chip Ganassi Racing and Team Penske have won the past 10 titles. Keep that in mind, do you think another team will take more titles this year?

In addition to the 100-lap NTT INDYCAR SERIES race on Sunday, March 5th, the week of events will also include the full gamut of practice and qualifying runs beginning Friday, March 3rd across multiple race series, including the INDY NXT by Firestone and the USF Pro Championships Presented By Cooper Tires (both consisting of talented drivers hoping to one day join the NTT INDYCAR SERIES), and GT America powered by AWS.

Make sure to follow the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on Twitter for updates!
