Amalie Arena

Pirate Water Taxi

Arrghhh you ready to cruise down the Hillsborough River? Check out Pirate Water Taxi! This hop-on-and-hop-off mode of transportation takes you up and down the river, stopping at 17 different spots! Some of their stops include The Florida Aquarium, Davis Island, the Straz Theater, and the Glazer Children’s Museum, among many more! Pirate Water Taxi offers all-day passes for $25 for adults ($15 for children) and annual passes for $99.95. Tickets can be purchased online or at their main location in the Tampa Convention Center. Across three floors, you can discover Tampa’s history, famous figures, and priceless treasures. Their permanent exhibits transport you to the beginning of Tampa’s existence, then takes you on a journey through time to witness the growth of this beautiful city!

Pro Tip: Stop in for a bite at Columbia Cafe before or after your visit! Columbia is attached to the History Center and has its own historic roots. We suggest ordering half of a Cuban sandwich with half of a 1905 salad!

One of our favorite attractions in Channelside will sail you away to a voyage through America’s maritime history.
