If you’re looking for a traditional Cuban sandwich, look no further than La Segunda Bakery. This traditional bakery was established in 1915, right here in Tampa, Florida. Being a supplier of Cuban bread for shops around the state, La Segunda produces about 18,000 loaves a day! Their homemade bread makes this sandwich one of our favorites because you can tell that the ingredients are fresh.
Visit their Kennedy or Ybor location and St. Pete location coming soon. We recommend going to Kennedy for a sit-down experience, while Ybor City’s location is for to-go or party orders. Make sure to try their cookies and pastries as well!

Bodega is a crowd favorite in St. Pete, known for long waits for their amazing food. Their Cuban and Puerto Rican menu is great for those who are new to Latin food and for those who are aficionados!
We love their Cuban sandwich because it includes extra mojo sauce, making it super flavorful. If you’re into cuban sandwiches in Tampa Bay being pressed, this is also a great spot for you. We recommend grabbing a juice to go alongside your meal – their most popular being The Greengo with fresh apple and guarapo.

Being the oldest restaurant in Tampa, The Columbia is a perfect representation of Tampa food. Opened in 1905, their Cuban sandwich is one of their original menu items. This longstanding sandwich is one of the most popular orders! Order this as a combo plate with their signature 1905 salad, which is prepared tableside for the freshest taste.
We love their Cuban sandwich because of how the flavors all melt together. Their Cuban is served traditional style, with no lettuce or tomato. Plus, their sandwich press combines the flavors perfectly into one cohesive sandwich.

The Cuban sandwich gets a welcome remix at Empamama’s! If you’re ever hanging out at Armature Works, definitely check out their Tampa Girl empanada. This fried treat is stuffed with roasted pork, honey ham, genoa salami, swiss cheese, pickles and “Tampa Girl” sauce.
We recommend ordering this empanada with a side of their amazing fries and the Bang Bang sauce. It may be a cheat meal on your calendar, but it is completely worth it.

This casual cafe has the best Cuban dishes and specialty sandwiches. They serve breakfast if you’re in the mood for some good food in the morning. We highly recommend the West Tampa Breakfast Special served with Cuban toast and a small café con leche. Their sandwiches are definitely something to brag about. You can get a Honey Cuban Sandwich which is a traditional sandwich with honey. It’s been approved by former President Barack Obama so it has to be good.

Located in Oldsmar, Cuban Breezes brings their flavors to the area. We love their spot because they marinate their shredded roast pork, versus using sliced pork. Their Cuban sandwich is also super cheap! We recommend ordering a sandwich and a couple of their ham croquetas. Use hot sauce on both and you’ll have a typical Tampa lunch.
