Our furry friends need to get outdoors and unleash all their built-up energy from time to time. With Memphis being so large, there’s more than likely a dog park a few miles from your home. And that’s why we’ve put together a list of the best dog parks in Memphis.
I think all pups agree this bark park is the best 1.3 acres of land Memphis has to offer. Like many dog parks here in Memphis, Overton Bark has separate areas for large and small dogs. Water fountains and wash stations are available throughout the park as well. They also host events quite often for you and your pet to enjoy. Check out their event calendar!

This dog park is perfectly located on the riverfront with a great view of the Memphis bridge. This park is equipped with benches, fountains, and separate play areas for small and large dogs.

The Memphis City Dog Park is the first of it’s kind here in the 901. This puppy playground is off-leash, and like many other parks here, it offers separate areas for small and large dogs. The park is fenced and located in the middle of the city. Find a bench and enjoy your afternoon.

Bartlett has very few places where your dog can get off the leash and run wild. Actually, there’s only one, and it’s the Bartlett Dog Park. This is a nice forested park with separate play areas for larger dogs. Make sure you bring water for you and your pup to this park. Also, give them a visit in the summer to splash in the kiddie pool!

📍 5220 Shelter Run Lane, Memphis, TN 38135
Downtown has parks everywhere, especially along the river. The Memphis River Parks Association made it their mission to beautify and add things for locals to do along the river. They didn’t forget our furry friends of course. They made all the parks along the river, yes all five, dog-friendly. That means you and Fido have a lot of exploring to do! Scroll through all five parks websites to see where you want to start.
Sunday–Saturday | Dawn–Dusk

We know there are dog parks galore here in the 901. Let us know in the comments where you and your pup like to go on a sunny day to unleash! Tag us on Instagram or Facebook with your four-legged friend to be featured on our page.
Remember, most of these dog parks in Memphis do encourage you to keep your pet on a leash when outside of enclosed areas. Please respect park rules to make the space enjoyable for everyone!
