Bluebonnet season in San Antonio is in full swing and it’s the perfect chance to grab some gorgeous Easter photo ops. There’s not one particular place to take these photos, as there are Bluebonnet patches up and down highways, streets and back-roads. There are a few places folks in town have found to be better photo taking places for Bluebonnets and that includes Northwest Vista campus, around Poteet, Government Canyon Natural Area, and if you’re willing to drive a little out of town, there’s the Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg. This natural area that takes up 12,000-acre right in the city has 40 miles of trails that offer great wildflower viewings and photoshoots. There are four trails that can be easily accessible to these flower including, Frontcountry Trail, Savannah Loop, Lytle’s Loop, and the ADA-accessible Discovery Trail. Some plants you’ll see in bloom are Spanish daggers, sotols, horsecripplers, agaritas, mountain laurels, huisaches, and redbuds.
