Every inch of this place is full of 80s memorabilia, and their vintage cocktails will definitely take you back to the greatest decade. Of course, the soundtrack at Hungry Like the Wolf is AMAZING, with all of your fave 80s classic songs.
Did we mention they have food? Their brunch menu is delish– a selection of breakfast sandwiches, egg plates, a variety of pancake flavors, and Belgian waffles are all waiting for you. The 80s brunch party on the weekend is a can’t-miss Houston event!
Dinner is also a great time to visit Hungry Like the Wolf. We recommend the chicken fried steak or flat-top pork chop for tasty diner staples. For a truly unique night out in Midtown, there’s no place like Unicorn Disco. This 60s-themed bar, complete with a vintage-style bowling alley, has quickly become a favorite among Houstonians since opening last summer.
Unicorn Disco has all of your favorite beers on tap, with selections from local breweries and bar staples. As far as signature craft cocktails, we recommend the BooCockHehe, which combines Deep Eddy grapefruit vodka, Scrappy’s firewater tincture, lime juice, ginger beer, and raspberries. Mmm, so refreshing!
You’ll have to see it to believe it, but Unicorn Disco truly brings a piece of the 60s and 70s to 2021. With vintage memorabilia all around and a playlist chock-full of groovy tunes, this place is seriously far out. Hands down, this is one of the most fun themed bars in Houston!

What makes Wonder Bar so much fun? The mind-blowing décor, for a start. Disco balls everywhere, colorful walls, floors, and ceilings, and themed photo-op spots in every corner add a splash of eclectic, retro chic to the Midtown strip. Their drinks are also off the hook! You have to try the Disco Water– a groovy twist on ranch water, this drink combines tequila, Topo Chico, and lime in a disco ball-shaped cup. It’s sooo good! You will definitely not regret spending a night at Wonder Bar.

Their Day at the Beach cocktail is Tiki inspired with a mug made out of an edible dark chocolate shell! The bubbles are Texas Meyer lemon ocean foam, the sand is edible, and the aroma will transport you to a sunny day on the beach. This is the perfect bar for a girls night, date night, or somewhere fun yet cozy to break the ice on a first date.
At Diversion, they grow their own produce on their urban farms in the Heights & Spring Branch. They use their fresh Texas produce to craft cordials, infusions, tinctures, preserves, ferments, and vinegars.
