Our Mission is clear. “Connect the World Through Events.”
And while that Mission may sound simple, it’s not always easy. The last few months have not been easy. And certainly, the last few days have not been easy. Our hearts break over the clear and painful fracture in our country.
There are times to stay silent. Now is not one of those times.
We stand with those who are peacefully protesting the grave injustice of George Floyd’s death. Every man and woman is entitled to their inalienable rights of “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Over 20,000 days ago, Dr. Martin Luther King said, “Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God’s children.”
We cannot say it better.
Some say that America is a “failed experiment.” We think they are wrong. At its core America is hope. Hope can move mountains. Hope can heal.
Others say that we will get back to “normal” soon. We hope that never happens. We are the architects of our future. It’s our choice to let those led by self-serving political interests define our normal. We choose NO to normal. Our “new normal” is what we make it.
Connecting the World Through Events is our Mission because events are where we bond around common interests and experience life together. Together. No matter the color of our skin. Together.
Fractures can be repaired.
As our city begins to open we hope that you can find joy in connecting with one another, and we hope that you show support to these local black-owned businesses in Nashville.
Cashville says that their mission is to “tell Nashville’s forgotten story.” They are bringing awareness to the unequally distributed reconstruction of Nashville by spreading their brand and message through clothing.
