Brunch has become a hot activity for Austinites on the weekends, and there are plenty of incredible restaurants meeting the demand. While we’re grateful for the abundance of options, sometimes it can be difficult to choose where we want to go. After all, there are (unfortunately) fewer weekend days than weekdays, so we want to make it count!
We’ve compiled this guide of some of the most fun brunch in Austin so you can walk away with a delicious meal and lots of memories!
Brunch, but give it a creative twist! Upstairs Circus is a DIY workshop-meets-bar concept, where guests can create unique leatherworking, woodworking, jewelry making, art, and design DIY projects while enjoying incredible food from nearby restaurants and drinks.
Prices range from $28 during happy hour to $42 on weekends (which includes bottomless mimosas).
Once a month, Irene’s offers a drag brunch hosted by resident Queen, Rhonda Jewels. This classic American bar and restaurant will quickly become a favorite for its entertainment and incredible bites. Plus, a percentage of ticket proceeds benefit a local charitable organization, so be sure to book soon, so you don’t miss out!
Another drag brunch option is Trace, a sleek and sophisticated restaurant featuring regionally sourced meats, veggies, and cheeses. Their monthly drag brunch is hosted by Vylette Ward and her queens and is a fun brunch in Austin you won’t want to miss!
Dog-friendly, abundant sausage, and live music: Banger’s checks all the boxes for a great Sunday brunch! This old-fashioned spot features homemade sausage, craft beer, pig roasts, beef jerky, pickled vegetables, and so much more that you can enjoy on the huge outdoor patio.
We recommend trying the Kitchen Sink or the Banger’s Benny!
Culinary Dropout has one of our favorite brunch menus in the city and tops it all off with live music! If you’re into comfort food and inventive cocktails, you need to try this spot out. Choose from breakfast sandwiches, french toast, breakfast burritos, chicken and biscuits, and more tasty options this weekend.
Enjoy a stunning view of the lake while you enjoy brunch at Hula Hut, a traditional Tex-Mex restaurant with a Hawaiian twist. Choose from tacos, fajitas, luau platters, and other tropical favorites while you enjoy the fresh air and beach feel. It’s basically like you’re on vacation when you dine here!
For a more upscale brunch offering a bat’s-eye-view of Lady Bird Lake and the downtown skyline, Geraldine’s delivers with both the food and the fun! Join every Sunday for a jazz brunch, featuring a selection of sweet and savory plates and live music from local jazz musicians. Grab a carefully curated plate and a cocktail, sit back, and enjoy!
Did someone say all you can eat? Fonda San Miguel offers sophisticated takes on traditional Mexican cuisine that’ll leave you completely stuffed and satisfied. Enjoy the brunch buffet complete with tons of tasty dishes that’ll keep you coming back for seconds…and thirds!
This spot is the center for entertainment with a mechanical bull, two-themed private karaoke rooms, custom billiard tables, skeeball, hoops, and more! Drink, eat, and play at Bull & Bowl, the first duckpin bowling alley, bar, bistro, and mechanical bull venue ever established, for an exciting brunch unlike anything else you’ll ever experience.
Tip: gaming is free every Sunday!
