The last few months have been a rollercoaster but now we’re ready to ride a real one. One of the most thrilling things to do in Tampa is finally open again! And if you need to cool off in this Florida heat, Adventure Island, the water park next door, is open too.

Busch Gardens is taking the necessary precautions against COVID-19. To help maintain physical distancing, reservations are now required. Guests will be asked to wear face masks and have their temperature taken before entering. In addition, rides will be sanitized more frequently.

A few of our favorite rides that are open are Tigris, Cheetah Hunt, Cobra’s Curse, Montu, and SheiKra. Rides such as Kumba and Gwazi Gliders are currently closed. Visit their website for more details.

Tampa, Florida’s very own theme park is only a 5-minute drive from the University of South Florida and about 15 minutes from Downtown Tampa. For more information take a peek at this: Thrills and Adventure Ahead at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

Live Music at Sparkman Wharf

One of the best things to do in Tampa is to hang out at our beloved Sparkman Wharf. Anyone from Tampa, Florida knows that Sparkman is one of the best spots to relax outside while you drink, eat, and listen to live music. Did we mention that it is extremely family-friendly and dog-friendly?

This weekend they are having live music powered by Gasparilla Music Festival every day on the Sparkman Stage. Catch the talented Logan Grant on Friday, Gerry Williams on Saturday, and the Sunsetters on Sunday.

If you’re in Downtown Tampa for the day, we recommend taking a stroll down the Tampa Riverwalk then ending the night at Sparkman for the live music! Along the riverwalk, you will find a bunch of Tampa museums and attractions like the Tampa Museum of Art and Tampa Bay History Center. If you pass Sparkman, there is Florida Aquarium and you can even take the trolly to Ybor City–AKA the cigar city!
