If you haven’t tried this super Instagrammable Tex-Mex spot in Dallas yet this is your sign to do so! Tejas has such pretty décor and super delicious menu options. Whether you’re craving tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, or a tasty margarita, you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. We love getting their Mini Tacos which are 2-inch hard shell tacos with your choice of picadillo beef or poblano chicken, their Passion Ceviche, or the Carne Asada Fries. They also serve brunch.

If you’re looking for a great place to hang out with your friends while watching sports games, playing pool, arcade games, and enjoying local beers on tap, Sylvan Ave Tavern is the perfect place to go! This hidden gem spreads out over multiple levels featuring a beautiful covered patio and a rooftop terrace with amazing skyline views. Enjoy delicious pizzas, salads, wings, burgers, and more! Some of our favorites are the Toasted Ravioli, Carolyn’s Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos, the Tavern Favorite pizza, and the Bone-In Wings with their signature sauces.

Ma Crêpe

Sweeten your day with some delicious crêpes from Ma Crêpe in Oak Lawn. Choose between sweet and savory options. One of our favorite crêpes is the Parisienne which is served with Nutella (the best thing in the world), bananas, strawberries, and whipped cream. Best of all, they are open till 3:00am on Friday and Saturday, perfect when your late-night sweet tooth calls. All their crêpes can be switched out for a waffles as well.

Not only do they have a super picture-worthy storefront, but they also serve super delicious ice cream flavors. Azucar specializes in Cuban ice cream, featuring flavors like Mango, Mexican Vanilla, Willy Cherino, Rum Raison, and so much more.

Pecan Lodge

If you find yourself in Deep Ellum we highly recommend stopping by Pecan Lodge. This family-owned local business serves the delicious BBQ with housemade sauces. Try one of their sandwiches or get one of their meat plates with your choice of brisket, sausage, pulled pork, or smoked turkey with a side of coleslaw and mac and cheese.

The Reserve

If you’re a fan of Taqueria Taxco, you’re going to love this new addition to the Dallas Farmers Market. The Reserve is an extension of Taqueria Taxco and serves authentic Mexican dishes and great drinks. They have two beautiful outdoor patios to enjoy the summer weather. Looking for something special? Get the Insta-famous Trompo Taco Tower. If you’re joining with a smaller group but still want to try multiple tacos we recommended getting one of their taco plates, some chips and queso to share, and of course some margaritas.

Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade

Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade is another one of our favorite businesses in Dallas that you have to visit this month. Visit their bright yellow location with a beautiful outdoor patio and be transported to the beaches of Hawaii. Enjoy lots of different flavors of refreshing lemonade, acai bowls, toasts, flatbread, and more. It’s the perfect summer treat on a hot day in Dallas.

Darkoo’s Chicken Shack

We were sad to hear that Khao Noodle in Old East Dallas closed but chef and owner Donny Sirisavath just launched a new concept. Darkoo’s Chicken Shack is a casual new restaurant with lots of delicious menu items, a fun chicken mural, and a relaxing outdoor patio. Enjoy delicious Karagee, Panko Tenders, Lao Gai with sides such as Spicy Cucumber Salad, Darkoo’s Cole Slaw, Macaroni Salad and Loa Beer.
