Looks like things might be a little more Peter “Quarantail” than “Cottontail” this year, but that’s okay! Plenty of local businesses are offering options that will make your Easter in Nashville at home special.
We’ve been working hard on our City Guides to keep you occupied and in the loop during coronavirus times, but we thought Easter at home deserved its own guide. Here are some of the *peeps* working hard to make sure you have a great Easter Sunday, despite coronavirus woes!
1. Start Your Morning With Carryout Brunch
This Italian restaurant is offering family-style egg bakes with a la carte sides! You can also opt to BYOB(runch) by choosing an individual-sized egg bake + two sides for $12. The egg bakes come in varieties like vegetarian, Italian sausage, traditional, and Caprese.
If you’re looking for a heartier start to the day, Char is offering southern favorites like shrimp and grits, and chicken and waffles in family-sized servings of four. And you might as well grab a bottle of wine to go while you’re there, right?
🚨Try to place orders by Thursday evening!🚨
Urban Grub has been serving Sunday brunch options as a part of a limited to-go menu, but this weekend there will be some special Easter extras!
And while you’re browsing their website, we highly encourage you to take the opportunity to donate a hot meal ($15) to a Vanderbilt doctor or nurse. You could also opt to feed the whole floor if you’re feeling generous!
2. Attend A Virtual Church Service
Just because we can no longer gather, we can’t lose the ability to come together. Join your faith’s streaming platform to keep your Easter traditions close to your heart.
3. Have Your Easter Baskets Delivered
Instead of browsing the few stores open for last-minute Easter candy, order a pre-made gift basket online! You’re knocking out two birds with one egg–staying safe and shopping local!
It sounds like one sweet Easter at home.
High Note Gifts
Get your favorite local sweets, like chocolate from Nashville Chocolate & Nut Co., in a sweet spring goodie bag! You could also choose one of their year-round boxes overflowing with local goodness.
Made In TN
Choose from some specially crafted Easter baskets, or order a selection of fun local gifts and put together a basket yourself. But don’t wait much longer! These adorable products are selling out fast…and we can see why.
Cookies By Design
If you can’t keep your hands out the cookie jar… this is the place for you. Order adorable hand-decorated Easter cookies that are arranged in center-piece worthy bouquets! They even offer same-day delivery.
4. Snap Some Family Photos
All dressed up with nowhere to go? Same. But that doesn’t mean you have to miss the chance for a family photo opp! (And by family, we mean whoever you already live with.)
Get your favorite pastel pants on and capture your at-home holiday together. Need some outfit inspiration? These local boutiques are home to some of our favorite fashions and are available for socially distant-approved shopping.
🗓 10AM–7PM Curbside Pickup
📍 1556 W. McEwen Drive Suite 120 Franklin, TN 37067
📦 Free shipping available from other locations
5. Finish Off With A Catered Easter Dinner
Why not continue to let someone else do the cooking? We know you’ve been supporting restaurant carryout all month long, but several chefs are featuring special Easter deals. Check out these eggs-ellent spots. (We know, we’re cringing at our puns too.)
Adele’s + 404 Kitchen
Adele’s has partnered with 404 Kitchen to bring you quite the Easter spread. Order by servings for two and choose by the course. And we have no idea what the heck is in Adele’s bunny punch, but something’s telling us you should snag a quart.
🚨 Make sure you order by Friday at noon!🚨
Monell’s is known for its family-style brunches that leave lines wrapped around the block. But since we can’t gather around their tables, Monell’s is offering its southern cooking for pickup with a menu that’s perfect for Easter dinner at home. They are scheduling pickup times in five-minute time slots so that people are not having to congregate while waiting (smart move!)
🚨 The Pre-order cut off is Saturday at 5PM!🚨
We’re back with another Italian favorite, and they’re offering a “cold-prepped bundle.” You can pick up several dishes and then heat them up at home, to serve when you’re ready! For $120, you get PLENTY of food and we’re already dreaming of the leftovers we’ll be able to enjoy on Monday.
We're All in This Together
We know Easter at home probably isn’t looking the way that you expected it to, but we take a little solace in knowing that Nashville is all in this situation together.
Take this time to connect with friends and family any way you can, whether it be through a FaceTime or mailing a card. Know that we will all come out of this on the other side as a stronger and more unified community.
We wish you and your families a blessed and safe holiday 🐰
