Try the Best Tequila in Houston with this Cinco De Mayo Bar Crawl

A Story By

We love Cinco de Mayo here in Houston! What better way to celebrate tequila’s favorite holiday than with a Cinco de Mayo bar crawl?

This year, we’ve made things easy for tequila lovers by compiling our favorites spots in Houston to try the tastiest tequila around – Ghost Tequila! This high-quality agave tequila comes with a spicy, smoky twist that pairs well with all of your favorite Cinco de Mayo cocktails!

Can’t make it out for Cinco de Mayo? Enter our Ghost Tequila giveaway to win your own bottle! Just keep reading!

Build your own Cinco de Mayo bar crawl by trying every venue on our list or simply round up your friends and try out your favorites.

Here are our top picks for a Cinco de Mayo bar crawl:

Get Started with a Meal

Kick off your Cinco de Mayo bar crawl with delicious Mexican food and plenty of tequila! Before you hit the town, stop by any of Lupe Tortilla’s locations for a hearty meal and a few drinks to get you started. (We like their Shepherd/Heights location!)

Not in the mood for food? No problem. This Tex-Mex favorite offers a generous drink menu, featuring cocktail classics like their Perfect Margarita, or the “Sunrise en la Playa” – made with Ghost Tequila, peach schnapps, and orange and cranberry juices.

Don’t forget the chips & queso with your drinks! If you’re looking for a new tapa to try, we recommend the simple & tasty guacamole salad.

FM Kitchen and Bar has quickly become a favorite in the Washington corridor. Grab a spot anywhere on their covered, dog-friendly patio or hang out in their beer garden for instant good vibes.

Their cocktail menu features fresh ingredients and plenty of Ghost Tequila for the tasting. Try their signature Margarita (made with just tequila, agave, and lime) or the “Paloma” (tequila, grapefruit, agave, lime juice, Topo Chico, and a pinch of salt). Beer lovers can choose from any of the 25 beer options available – don’t hesitate to ask about their local brewery selections!

Pair your tequila with any of their burgers; we like the apt-ly named “TX Burger” (8oz patty, bacon, fried egg, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, bbq sauce, Bread Man brioche bun.)
