A 2nd Cup is a non-profit coffee shop working to end human trafficking by educating the community, partnering with anti-trafficking allies, and providing short and long-term aftercare programs for survivors. Not only do proceeds go toward this mission, but A 2nd Cup also ensures that their coffee, food, apparel, and all other products are made ethically, so you can feel good about every penny you spend!

Cat lovers will find their new home at El Gato Coffeehouse. Their mission is “to find forever homes for adoptable cats in Houston.” That’s right, you can leave here with a delicious cup of coffee and a new best friend! All cats in the shop are available for adoption or cat therapy, which is good for your soul and the cat’s soul. 

If you are looking to adopt, complete an application, visit to find a compatible cat, and pay the $95 adoption fee is. You’re allowed a 7-day trial adoption period, which gives you time to ensure the cat is a good fit. Head on over, grab a tasty treat, and unwind with the precious gatos.
