Arguably the best pizza spot in Austin, Home Slice Pizza is an iconic spot for traditional east coast style pizza. We’re talking thin crusts, traditional Italian sandwiches, salads, and more. Looking for a traditional diner that serves of breakfast all day? Magnolia Café is an Austin staple for whatever comfort food you’re craving. Whether you’re looking for Tex-Mex, Americana, or something healthy, Magnolia strives to cater to every appetite! Guy Fiery loved how diverse the menu is and “come back for the food and the funk”. Taste wonderful juicy flavors of traditional pastrami sandwiches, wraps, Neapolitan style pizza, and tons of different pastries at Pieous. This spot is perfect for picking up lunch on the go or various sides and dessert for a picnic! The meat is cured for 20 days before being added to each pizza. Guy raved about their caramel rolls and said “That is what every cinnamon roll wants to be.” Check out this iconic dive in Austin for your next lunch.
This divey 6th street staple is home to one of Austin’s best Bloody Marys. It’s only served on the weekends, so make a trip! Casino El Camino is home to some juicy burgers, traditional and loaded hot dogs… is your mouth watering yet? Get your food cravings fixed and your thirst quenched when you visit this iconic Austin dive. Guy Fieri said “Casino El Camino home to “the best burger in town.”
You can find tasty varieties of griddled sandwiches at Luke’s Inside Out. Located right next to Gibson Street Bar, Luke’s has remained proudly open throughout these crazy few years offering tons of your favorite pub food that are tried and true to Austin’s flavor profile. Guy called Korean rabbit with rabbit meat, tater tots, kimchi, Sriracha, and their secret sauce “the bomb.”
A family-owned and operated business, Valentina’s Tex-Mex is considered to be Austin’s best spot for authentic bbq and Tex-Mex cuisine. Known for their fresh, hand-rolled tortillas, homemade salsa, and bbq procedures Valenetina’s brings a whirlwind of flavors to your taste buds. Order by the half-pound, pound, or any one of their sandwiches for a burst of flavor at this iconic dive.
