Events This Weekend

1. Epcot Food & Wine Festival

Our favorite foodie festival is here. It’s starting a little earlier than usual this year, which just means more days to try all the food!

Enjoy food from all over the world right here in Orlando. You don’t have to travel far to get a taste of Mexico, Japan, Italy, and so many more countries that will be represented throughout the World Showcase.

2. Brew & View Movie Night Under the Stars

One of our favorite breweries, Ivanhoe Park Brewing, is transforming its parking lot into a movie picnic area this weekend. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to cuddle up under the stars! They’ll be providing the drinks and food, so you can just show up and enjoy. It’s a family fun day for everyone.

How lucky are we to be living right next to a launching pad? We get to see so many historical events happening right here in Orlando. This launch will have no astronauts on it, but is a necessary step in prior to the final flight test with astronauts aboard.

We’ve created a guide for the best spots to watch the rocket launch. Check it out here.

Perfect Day at ICON Park

International Drive District is the entertainment hub of Orlando. Head to ICON Park this weekend for the best attractions and dining options. Here are some of our favorites things to do:

Starflyer
The world’s tallest standalone swing ride is right here in Orlando! Standing at 450 feet, this unique attraction appeals to both young and old. It’s something the entire family can enjoy. Don’t forget to head to the I-Drive Star Bar after for some drinks.

Museum of Illusions
Are you ready for an adventure? Enter the fascinating world of illusions which will trick your confidence in senses, but amaze you by doing it. Nothing is what it seems! You’re in for an education, fun, and confusing time.

Tapa Toro
If you like tapa style dining, this is the place for you. Tapa Toro serves up small Spanish plates and family style dishes. The paella is a must! They also entertain you while you dine with flamenco dancing. It’s a guaranteed good time.

Tin Roof
The fun at ICON Park doesn’t stop. If you want a more laid-back atmosphere where you can kick back and have a good time, Tin Roof is where you need to be. They have live music, great happy hours, and food that is better than bar food!

Favorite Summer Activity

Triple Threat Cornhole

Everyone on our Orlando team agrees: adding a game element to your backyard BBQ makes it one for the ages. We suggest picking up a set of boards from Triple Threat Cornhole. They take the classic party game and add in a new points element to make every game more tense, more thrilling, and more fun!

Instead of a bean bag only able to go through one hole for 3 points, these boards add multiple holes for varying point amounts. With this fun addition, strategy and aim come even more into play and will have you and your friends enjoying the competition all party long!
