Our Top 10 Dog Friendly Bars in Houston

A Story By

Patio weather is officially upon us! There’s no better way to enjoy this time of year than sipping cocktails outside with your furry friend. Whether you’re brunchin’ on the weekends or hitting up a happy hour; there’s plenty of dog friendly bars in Houston to hang out with your paws out. We’ve sniffed out the best doggon patios and restaurants to bring your pups to!

*Please check venues for details during this time*

This Midtown favorite features a massive courtyard filled with picnic tables, hammocks and plenty of space for your pets to relax. The beer garden offers two bars, one located inside and the other on the patio. Expect rotating food trucks, live music on select nights and tons of board games.

Known for being an adult playground this hot spot is also the best place to people and dog watch in EADO! Trust us, you’ll never get bored. There’s tons of yard games, amazing beers and cocktails, live music (Thursday-Sunday) and did we mention they have a ferris wheel!

If you’re looking for a place that’s spacious, has a great food menu, offers 90+ cold brews on tap and not to mention – gorgeous, look no further! Heights Biergarten is the perfect chill out spot no matter what this Texas weather may bring. They have ceiling fans ready for the hot summers and fire pits to keep up cozy during the short winters.

Pretty much the OG of dog friendly bars in Houston! You can never go wrong with any Little Woodrow’s locations. Our personal fave is Midtown. Happy hours unbeatable, weekends are chill and Sunday’s can get a little rowdy.

When it comes to choosing the best dog patios in Houston, there’s no question this brewery tops the list. Not only do they have a killer skyline view, the food is delicious and you definitely can’t beat the all around atmosphere .

This massive ice house is the perfect place for young professionals, sports fans, happy hour enthusiasts and of course pet lovers! They offer a 1-acre backyard, a variety of food trucks, a large inside seating area and tons of TV’s.

An EADO fan favorite. Stop by and enjoy creative craft beers, yard games, the Eatsie Boys truck (so good) and you may even spot a H-Town legend or two. Don’t forget to check out the dope instagramable photo ops in the back – courtesy of The Beatles statues and the “We Love Houston” sign.

Located in the heart of Houston’s oldest neighborhood, Spring Street is a hidden gem. Enjoy a family friendly vibe, FREE fitness classes on the weekend, a dope patio and awesome daily specials.

There’s nothing we love more than brunchin’ on the patio! Piggy’s offer an amazing food menu, large backyard for your pups to layout and an atmosphere you just can’t beat.

This neighborhood kitchen & bar off of Washington Ave is a solid choice any day of the week. FM Kitchen & Bar has incredible burgers, Texas-sized fried chicken, over-the-top shakes and colorful murals for photo ops with your pup!
