We’ve assembled a master guide of all the dog-friendly restaurants in Tampa Bay for all of our dog lovers and dog parents out there! Sometimes you want to go out but can’t stand to leave your best friend at home.
We get it, really. Dogs can be our pals, our best friends, and sometimes even like our very own children! You should be able to enjoy fun outings with your four-legged friend, that don’t necessarily involve going to a park, or a regular walk.
📸 Pinellas Ale Works Brewery
Pinellas Ale Works is not only one of the most dog-friendly breweries in St. Pete, but they even host regular events benefiting Pinellas County-related animal charities!
This is an award-winning brewery with the mission of brewing doggone good beer! Bring your pup and enjoy their indoor and outdoor space, award-winning beers, and mouth-watering Jim’s Eats and Treats Food Truck!
This unique bar invites both two-legged and four-legged patrons alike. Mutts & Martinis has redefined the concept of a sports bar by creating a unique haven where sports enthusiasts and dog lovers can unite.
Picture this: cheering for your favorite team on multiple screens while sipping on a refreshing martini, all while surrounded by the adorable presence of friendly pups. But that’s not all – they have the first-ever dog water park!
Although this is technically not a dog park, it might as well be! Take your pup to the best dog parks in Tampa Bay!

📸 Red Mesa Cantina
This outdoor spot is a hit with dog lovers! The Mexican food is just amazing, and it offers a fresh patio, complete with ceiling fans to keep you cool. They even lay water bowls for the pups! A necessity, especially during the Summer.
We recommend checking out their Chicken Chili Relleno – so good! They have vegan options, as well. Like a lot of other great restaurants in Tampa, they serve Impossible Burger options. They spin a piled-high Tostada, by using Impossible Burger and a yummy avocado sauce.
Red Mesa Cantina also has some of the best happy hour deals – check out more happy hour spots in Tampa Bay!
📸 The Getaway
As the name suggests, The Getaway is a restaurant and bar inspired by your dream vacation. The ambiance of the space is tropical, yet modern, and it’s not touristy. This hot spot has Dog-Friendly Tuesdays where pet lovers can meet other dog owners!
Their menu is known for its Tropical cocktails. You can order your drinks in a classic beach bucket size. We recommend ordering a Getaway Bucket size of the Must-Have Painkilla. This tropical drink features Jamaican rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice.
They don’t skimp on their food menu either. Their seafood is amazingly fresh and high-quality. Check out their grilled Market Oysters, which are rarely found at Tampa Bay restaurants.

As a popular spot for people to bring their dogs, you don’t have to leave your best friend at home. Enjoy the best to-go Cuban sandwich from Guava Grill, or some tacos at Gallito Taqueria. For dessert, enjoy a refreshing Strawberry Lime popsicle from Whatever Pops.
Explore the dog toys and treats at Modern Paws, and finish a perfect outing at the Barkinglot, where your dog may go potty and play with other pups!
After a huge expansion, The Sail has become a standout pick when comparing Downtown Tampa restaurants. With new shady spaces, waterfront views, and two levels of seating, The Sail is a great place to bring your dog.
If you have a larger dog and you’re not comfortable bringing them to a more intimate restaurant – this is the perfect pick! With drinks from The Sail and a food menu from the South Tampa famous seafood shop – Big Ray’s Fish Camp – this is a must-visit!
We recommend the Grouper Nuggets, which are served with an amazing sweet Thai chili dipping sauce – yummm!
With the addition of another dog park right across the street, Pour House is a great place for all of our Tampa Bay pet lovers! Pour House is an intimate sports bar and brew house located in the Channelside Tampa area.
Specializing in draft beer, this pour list is super long – so there’s something for everyone! If you’re not much of a beer drinker, we recommend the Hard Tropical Punch, it’s a Kool-Aid-inspired cider that will definitely bring you back to your childhood.
