One of our favorite things about Tampa Bay is how dog friendly it is! Sometimes you want to go out, but can’t stand to leave your best friend at home! We’ve assembled a master guide of all the dog-friendly Tampa Bay restaurants. Check out our list below for recommendations for food and drinks at each place!
Sparkman Wharf is one of our favorites for dog-friendly restaurants in Tampa. With a large green astroturf lawn, there is plenty of space for your pup to play. As a popular spot for people to bring their dogs, you don’t have to leave your best friend at home.
We love Sparkman because of the many food options, too! You can enjoy the best chicken sandwich you’ve ever had from Flock and Stock with some amazing seaweed topped fries from BT in a Box. For dessert, enjoy a refreshing Strawberry Lime popsicle from Whatever Pops.
After a huge expansion, The Sail has become a standout pick when comparing Downtown Tampa restaurants. With new shady spaces and two levels of seating, The Sail is a great place to bring your dog. If you have a larger dog and you’re not comfortable bringing them to a more intimate restaurant – this is a great pick.
With drinks from The Sail and a food menu from the South Tampa famous seafood shop – Big Ray’s Fish Camp – this is a must visit! We recommend the Grouper Nuggets, which is served with an amazing sweet Thai chili dipping sauce.
With the addition of another dog park right across the street, Pour House is the perfect place for all of you pet lovers! Pour House is an intimate sportsbar and brew house located in the Channelside Tampa area. Specializing in draft beer, this pour list is super long – so there’s something for everyone.
If you’re not much of a beer drinker, we recommend the Hard Tropical Punch, it’s a Kool-Aid inspired cider that will definitely bring you back to your childhood. Visit before 7pm to take advantage of their Happy Hour deals with your pup!
Pup’s Pub is the perfect spot to have a good time with your dog! Whether its just you and your pup or your meeting up with friends, Pup’s Pub is ideal for every dog lover! Check out Pup’s Pub for Yappy Hour, Monday- Friday from 12-7pm for $3 wells, $4 wines, $4 calls and $3 domestic drafts.
Enjoy music, drinks, and games with your friends and your pups at Pup’s Pub! Entrance for humans is free but there is a small entrance fee for your pup but, if you’re a frequently customer you can sign up for their membership where you’ll receive discounted entrance rates!
As the name suggests, The Getaway is a restaurant and bar inspired by your dream vacation. The feel of the space is tropical, but super modern and not touristy. This hot spot has Dog-Friendly Tuesdays where pet lovers can meet other dog owners!
Their menu is known for their beachy drinks. You can order your drinks in a classic beach bucket size. We recommend ordering a Getaway Bucket size of the Must Have Painkilla. This tropical drink features Jamaican rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice.
They don’t skimp on their food menu either. Their seafood is amazingly fresh and high-quality. Check out their grilled Market Oysters, which is rarely found at Tampa Bay restaurants.
Red Mesa Mercado
This outdoor spot is a hit with dog-lovers because of the amazing Mexican food menu. Red Mesa Mercado has a super fresh patio, complete with ceiling fans to keep you cool and water bowls for the pups. We recommend checking out their Chicken Chili Relleno!
They also have vegan options, as well! Like a lot of other great restaurants in Tampa, they serve Impossible Burger options. They spin a piled high Tostada, by using Impossible Burger and a yummy avocado sauce.
The Dog Bar
The Dog Bar St. Pete is a combination of an off leash dog park and a full service bar! The Dog Bar even has their own staff of “Wooferees” to ensure all dogs are playing nicely together! The Dog Bar ensures a safe and fun experience for both you and your pup!
If you plan on going to The Dog Bar be sure to checkout their event calendar because they always have something new happening! While you’re there checkout their specialty drink named after the owners Great Dane!
Two Shepards Taproom
Two Shepards Taproom is Tampa Bay’s first and only, fully off-leash indoor and outdoor dog bar and park! Theres always something happening at Two Shepards Taproom, from their Tuesday Trivia nights to their Barks n’ Bubbles Foam Party! Be sure to keep an eye out for their events because they are always planning something new and exciting.
While Two Shepards Taproom serves a wide variety of drinks but not food, they frequently have amazing food trucks like Diggy Dog, No Food, and Williamsburg Cucina that will serve you directly in the Two Shepards Yard! Two Shepards was made for you and your dog which makes it one of the best dog friendly places in Tampa Bay!
