Chilling out on Cira Green makes you appreciate the city so much and love being outside to enjoy our Mother Earth. Cira Green is Philly’s park in the sky where you can see panoramic views, attend outdoor events, and enjoy drinks and snacks at the in-park cocktail bar, Sunset Social. Luckily for us, Sunset Social kicks off their 2022 season on April 20, 2022- just in time for Earth Day!

Fairmount Water Works

Sitting on the east bank of the Schuylkill River is the ever so historic Fairmount Water Works!  What once pumped all the water in the city in the 19th century now lives in memory as a museum and environmental center. Going to the Fairmount Water Works is an awesome idea for Earth Day because you get to see the Schuylkill at arguably the most exciting area on the river and you can learn so much about our city and our impact on the environment!

Going to Fairmount Water Works is a great trip for the fam, the kids, or anyone who wants to learn a little more about Philly and the environment!

Schuylkill River Trail

Can’t get enough of the Schuylkill?! Head down the Schuylkill River Trail this Earth Day by foot or by wheels for the ultimate outdoor experience. The trail itself is 120 miles (yeah….. unreal) and travels through different towns, counties, historical sites, and more. We love taking our bikes out to the trail to ride by the water and enjoy the fresh air. Pump some air into your tires or get some new laces for your running shoes and enjoy the Schuylkill River Trail this upcoming Earth Day!

The Schuylkill River Trail is nominated for USA Today’s top Riverwalk 2022! VOTE HERE!!!

Rittenhouse Square

In the midst of our city is an urban haven that has been sought out near and far by those in the countryside and those next-door: Rittenhouse Square! Rittenhouse Square is the perfect place to perch, breathe in fresh air, people watch, dog watch, and celebrate Earth Day. This Earth Day, we’re getting a to-go order from Parc and parking outselves on a picnic blanket in the middle of the Square. We’ve never left Rittenhouse Square feeling less zen than we came!

📍 210 W. Rittenhouse Sq. Philadelphia, PA 19103

There’s so much to do this upcoming Earth Day, and we’re so excited to spend it in Philly. Loving your environment is so important, especially in this day and age. Spread the love, grab a few friends, and embrace Mother Earth by basking in the sun and enjoying all of these lovely outdoor spots in Philly!
