It might be a little “basic”… but we’re all guilty of it. We all love the opportunity for the perfect photo. East Nashville murals are the ideal backdrop when you’re searching for something to spice up your Instagram feed. There are quite a few that are even walking distance from each other, if you want to knock out more than one in a single trip.
We’ve highlighted some of our favorites here, but there are always new Nashville murals popping up! Make sure to keep an eye out and appreciate the art.
Be careful of oncoming cars… this East Nashville mural is smack dab on top of the drive-thru window of Donut Distillery! It features elements of the area as well as a couple of treats, like tacos and pizza. You also get a cityscape of the unmistakable Nashville skyline. Do yourself a favor and grab a box of mini donuts while you’re here.. a 6-pack is only $5.00! We like the Whiskey Glaze, but you can build your own creation!

This location is typically known for The Hot Air Balloon mural by Kelsey Montague, which is a staple East Nashville mural. While you’re visiting the balloon, stroll a bit further down the alley and you’ll find this pink teardrop wall. It is the storefront of Cry Baby Beauty Bar, and there are a couple other sweet spots around, like Otaku To-Go and Star Struck Vintage clothing store.

📍604 Gallatin Ave Suite 119
We love every location of Tailgate Brewery, but the one in East Nashville is home to this cool and colorful mural. There’s more to the mural than just this umbrella. You’ll also see a guy smashing open a barrel of beer, exploding the rainbow streams over onto the umbrella and Tailgate logo. The pizza and beer at Tailgate are on point, so head straight inside for a pint after you have your photo opp.

This stylish cocktail bar is the go-to for a laid back atmosphere with a sophisticated twist. There is a different (and equally awesome) floral mural painted on the building itself, and this lip mural is directly across the the parking lot.

This mural spans a huge part of the right side of the grocery store, so there are a lot of elements going on here. We snapped a pic with the giant grapefruit, but you can get lots of cool shots along the whole wall!
