Crab Island
Only accessible by boat or other watercraft. If you’re not a boat owner, don’t worry! You can always take one of the Crab Island charters or hire a boat with or without a captain. The water clarity can vary here, but your best chance at sparkling blue water is to visit during high tide!

Gulf Islands National Seashore
This isn’t just one beach – it’s an entire seashore with several beaches, wildlife preserves, and even old 19th-century forts, including the historic Fort Pickens.
If you want to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean, be sure to book a camping site on the seashore. Heads up that these camping sites are popular, so you’ll want to reserve your spot in advance.

Eight miles of pure perfection! Pensacola Beach might be what you picture when you think of Florida. Along with two beach parks, you can catch some waves, fish from the pier, kayak, or just enjoy getting your toes in the sand.
Don’t miss the Blue Angels doing their Beach Buzz at Casino Beach, a favorite with locals! They typically perform on Sundays during the season, and sometimes Mondays.

Navarre Beach
If you’re looking to skip the crowds, Navarre Beach is the spot. You can enjoy the beautiful white sand beaches, go dolphin spotting from the pier, and stroll through the beach town. Divers and snorkelers will love the artificial snorkel reef at Sea Oat Pavilion, a unique underwater attraction managed by the Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary.
If you’re visiting during sea turtle season, keep in mind that the beach will be dark at night. Navarre Beach is a flourishing community for Florida wildlife, and it’s important to keep light pollution low to protect the endangered sea turtles.

This is the place for the whole family, including your furry friends! The designated dog beach is located in front of Pier Park near the Russell-Fields pier. Keep in mind that dogs must be leashed. And no worries if you’re hungry! Plenty of restaurants around the pier are dog-friendly.
