6 Farmers Markets to Check Out This Fall

A Story By

As Fall approaches and the temperatures slowly start to lower, all we want to do is be outside! Did you know there are actually tons of Farmers Markets around Nashville year-round? At this time of year, we can’t think of anything better than an early morning or late evening Farmers Market stroll.  We have compiled a list of our favorites that you have to check out this Fall!

The Nashville Farmers Market is a given– we love to visit year-round! Founded in the 1800s, The Nashville Farmers Market provides retail space to farmers, artisans, nonprofits, and local small businesses.

The space includes two covered sheds, a greenhouse, garden center, a culinary incubation center, and an international food hall with so much to offer! You can even find monthly cooking demonstrations and workshops. Did we mention parking is free?!

🗓 Year-round
⏰ Daily | 8:00am-4:00pm
📍 900 Rosa L. Parks Blvd. Nashville, TN 37208

Now is the perfect season to go to 12 South Farmers Market at Sevier Park, because it is the 10th Anniversary of the market! This weekly community market always has live music and food trucks and shows off Nashville’s creative culture.

For the past six consecutive years, the 12 South Farmers Market has even been named among Nashville Scene’s Best of Nashville! There are more than 20 vendors, where you will find locally grown produce, meats, dairy, baked goods, and more of course.

🗓 May 4-October 26
⏰ Tuesdays | 4:00pm-7:00pm
📍 3000 Granny White Pike, Nashville, TN 37204

Here is another one of the year-round Farmers Markets located behind The Factory in Franklin. The Franklin Farmers Market has been going on since 2002 and began as a summer-only market with the number of farms participating starting at 8 to over 70 now!

This market gives the public easy access to healthy food locally grown which is as fresh as it comes. You can find vegetables, fruits, meats, dairy, herbs, and Nashville-local Food Trucks which are always a hit.

🗓 Year-round
⏰ Saturdays | 8:00am-1:00pm
📍 230 Franklin Road, Franklin, TN 37064

The East Nashville Farmers Market is a weekly outdoor market located at the intersection of 5th & Woodland Street in East Nashville. This Farmers Market began at the parking lot of the old Turnip Truck in 2008 and has been running strong since.

Many loyal shoppers probably remember their second location though, in Shelby Park. The ENFM often hosts events like Nashville Tree Fest, Fermentation Test Tuesdays, and more that you can find directions on their website.

🗓 April 6-December 21
⏰ Tuesdays | 3:30pm-6:30pm
📍 3130 McGavock Pike, Nashville, TN 37214

The Hip Donelson Farmers Market, located at Two Rivers Mansion, began with a group of volunteers who wanted a Farmers Market in Donelson during the summer of 2012. The park-like setting and historic venue are beautiful and accessible through the greenways in Two Rivers Park.

While shopping at this market, you are guaranteed locally grown products, as all vendors come from within 150 miles of Donelson. The staff is still entirely made up of volunteers and they couldn’t be more friendly, which gives you the best market experience!

🗓 May 7-October 29
⏰ Fridays | 4:00pm-6:30pm
📍 511 Woodland Street Nashville, TN, 37206

Year-round, you will find the Richland Park Farmers Market every Saturday morning. You will get to meet 70+ local farmers, chefs, bakers, and many others when you come to visit this friendly market. You will even have the best food to eat for breakfast along with coffee, tea, and espresso as you stroll through the market.

Bringing the kids along? No worries, there’s plenty of treats to keep them entertained throughout the morning as well. Similar to others, this Farmers Market has grown a lot over the last few years, so be sure to stop by!

🗓 Year-round
⏰ Saturdays | 9:00am-12:00pm
📍 4701 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37209
