Welcome back to the best place to find things to do in Memphis, friends. 🎄
Just like you, we’re watching this countdown fly as Christmas comes closer to us this season. Speaking of, is anybody else playing Christmas music already? Can you believe that Mariah Carey’s All I want for Christmas is You hasn’t hit 1 billion plays yet? A conversation for another day, because it’s time to break down this week’s Weekend Guide.
This week’s round-up includes a lovely walk-through to spark the Christmas spirit in you! We also found a cute holiday activity for those spending their first holiday together or starting a new tradition with loved ones. This holiday show is making its comeback for the season in our Downtown Memphis’ very own Canon Center for a limited amount of performances. In Midtown, get a first-dibs on this experience that lives to support artists in the most beautiful city around. And lastly; a feast dedicated to fine wines + a good time.
At the Museum of Science and History (aka Pink Palace), brings you to the mezzanine of the Pink Palace to deliver the family tradition of the season: The Enchanted Forest Festival of Trees! Children + Adults will be able to walk through the exhibit with beautifully decorated trees + recognizable characters to be seen within. Plus… an opportunity with Santa! 🎅 This year, you must buy your tickets in advance to reserve your spot for the exhibit.
Looking for a new tradition to start with your loved ones? First Christmas with your person this year? This event will provide nothing but deepen your bonds + memorialize your experience with crafting your very own Ornaments! Jacklyn Scott will be leading you through the rolling, stamping, and decorating their ornaments to share with loved ones, use as tags for gifts, or hanging on your tree with up to 12 ornaments in this experience.
Picture this: The Nutcracker… but ✨ reimagined ✨ with a little Memphis flare 🔥 . Memphis Jooking, West African dance + drumming, hip-hop and ballet all come together to recreate the classic tale with a modern twist.
80 artists. 33 days. 1 location. The Holiday Art Bazaar is back this year to bring you the crafts of local artists for your opportunity to grab unique gifts for loved ones while supporting locally! ARROW is throwing a First Dibs party to give you a chance to sip + shop first dibs on the works of your new favorite crafters.
A dinner that is carefully crafted to deliver a fine dining event from the Wilson Culinary Experience. Wines and cocktails to expertly pair with the cuisines for the evening along with live music to go with this event.
