Pittsburgh is the steel city, and its heart bleeds from the days of being a one of the world’s largest steel producers. The Burgh’s life and legacy depended on that steel, making the city gritty, rough, and beautiful. Since then, the steel city has transferred from manufacturing to a consumer city and there are so many fun things to do! In particular, the North Shore is a place where anyone can catch a baseball or football game, find something good to eat and grab a drink. Parks and recreation, and no, we’re not talking about the show with Amy Poehler. We’re talking about Allegheny Commons Park, the oldest park in Pittsburgh. Dating back to 1867, this lovable piece of foliage has been gracing yinzers alike with great green space since the beginning. You can take a stroll and admire all beauty it has to offer or look on their website for hot events going on! Plus, you can visit shop at a great farmers market showcasing fresh products for most of the year!  

Hey batter, batter swing! Oh yeah, we’re coming at you with one of the most iconic things to do in the North Shore. Seeing Steeler game? Or catching the Pirates? Trust us, after one game, a hot dog, and an IC Light, you’ll be talking in total Pittsburghese. See some of the most exciting sports in the entire country and see amazing concerts by household names play on the water. Heinz Field & PNC Park are the true heartbeat to Pittsburgh and you must experience at least once!
