📷 Norman`s Orchard

This orchard doesn’t judge a book by its cover. To Norman’s, the only thing that matters for the fruit is what’s on the inside. The best part about Norman’s is the fact that each tree is considered an “Heirloom.” Heirloom fruit, aka, antique fruit have existed for hundreds of years. These apples don’t look like those you see in stores but the flavor has a huge impact. Where picking it at its peak ripeness makes it the best apples to taste, and if you don’t believe us go try to pick for yourself. Apple picking in Pittsburgh just got even tastier with Norman’s special fruit that everyone needs to try.

There are 450 acres and 170 years of apples, apples, and more apples. Soergel Orchards started in 1850 by German immigrants who just started planting apple trees. Now you can revel in their large produce market store and pick the apples that made those German farmers thrive in a new country. Soregel’s u-pick farm gives you a grand tour of the acreage and an endless selection of produce, a wine store, a garden store, and a bakery.
