The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo has grown to be one of the largest single events in the city, bringing in people from all over to see what it’s all about.
With all the different moving parts going on, we are here to bring you the ultimate guide to the SA Stock Show and Rodeo. So hold on to your hat cowboys and cowgirls, it’s going to be a bucking good time!
What Is The San Antonio Rodeo?
The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is an 18-day event located at the AT&T Center and Freeman Coliseum. From February 6–23, the Rodeo includes a stock show complete with cows, pigs, chickens, sheep and goats, shopping booths, family activities like the petting zoo and pony rides, plus educational exhibits to teach farm-to-table practices.
The SA Rodeo is more than just an 8-second ride. This is one of San Antonio’s largest events bringing in over 2 million people over the course of 18 days. Holy COW!

What Does Your Ticket Include?
It’s a Stock Show & Rodeo, right? So, of course, you’re going to get your chance to check out all the livestock that’s going to be hanging out. Whether you’re interested in buying or just animal watching, it’s always fun to get to walk around and admire these beautiful beings.
PRO TIP: Watch where you step, there may be a few surprise droppings!
No surprise here, your ticket will get you a seat inside the arena where you can have an up-close look at the exciting Rodeo!
During the rodeo, you’ll see events like Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, Roping, Bareback Riding, and our favorites, Mutton Bustin’ and The Calf Scramble! Gotta love those adorable cowboys and cowgirls in training!
*Please note, XTREME BULLS only takes place on February 22nd.
Following each PRCA Rodeo, be sure to stick around for the concert performance! There will be a new performance every night by some of your favorite artists.
This year you can expect artists like Cody Johnson, Dustin Lynch, Keith Urban, Becky G, Dierks Bently, and so many others! So be sure to check the schedule of artist before you buy your rodeo tickets.

Aside from all the adorable animals, you can also find plenty of shopping booths, family activities like petting zoos and pony rides, all located on the Rodeo Fairgrounds!

The Rodeo is located at the AT&T Center and The Freeman Coliseum, only minutes from downtown San Antonio. Plan ahead and consider your travel and parking options. If you take your car, check out the Parking Map to find the designated parking areas.
PRO TIP: Bring cash! You’ll have to pay for parking. Lots will vary in price from $15–$20.
