Present Company

Not only is this a great happy hour spot, but Present Company is also arguably the best Instagrammable bar in Houston with its neon signs, bright colors, patterned wallpaper, and a wall outside covered in grass and flowers! This two-story vibrant patio bar offers a tropical oasis in the middle of Montrose and is our pick for Sunday Funday in the neighborhood.

Stop by any day of the week for a variety of daily specials, including Steak Night on Tuesday, Pinot & Pies on Wednesday, or 80s Jams on Thursday. On weekends, grab a delicious brunch paired with a $12 mimosa pitcher or a $6 Bloody Mary.

We love Present Company for their creative cocktails, and recommend trying the alcoholic drinks served in La Croix cans!

This cozy, homey wine bar is the perfect spot to unwind after a long day at work. The building was previously a shelter and the rooms are still intact, giving Bacco a unique interior layout that pairs well with the wingback chairs, long wooden tables, and mismatched vintage furniture you can find throughout. There are also couches, a brick fireplace, an expanded front patio, and a wraparound balcony to complete the snug environment.

While you’re relaxing, enjoy light bites, grilled cheese, or thin-crust pizza from their small food menu and pair it with a delicious wine. Stop in on weekends for live music and DJs in the living room!

Plus, outside on the patio you can find a vivid and colorful mural called “Love. Period.” by artist Jacquie Comrie and inside you can find multiple tributes to Montrose history.
