It’s summertime and the livin’s easy! These great spots in Houston are easy to love and we want to share them all with you in July’s Local Love List.

Located in the Second Ward, White Rhino is an all-new eco–friendly bar that will make you think your on a tropical vacation right here in Houston! If you love animals like we do you’ll love the fact that they donate a portion of proceeds to protect the endangered species we love so much.

Uncle Bean’s Coffee is an adorable patio coffee shop in the Heights that offers Walk-Up and Drive-Thru orders. Not only does Uncle Bean’s offer amazing breakfast tacos (get there early, they sell out!), they also have some delectable & unique drinks!
Try the best hot chocolate filled with fluffy marshmallows and mocha drizzle, or an iced coffee with a yummy. seasonal flavors. If you’re looking for a sweet treat, try one of their cookies or a sticky (but delicious) cinnamon roll!
Uncle Bean’s is one of our favorites, the atmosphere is great and the coffee is even better! Stop by to get some work done and bring Fido, too!

Need to cool down in this extreme summer heat? Take the kids (or kids at heart) to Typhoon Texas! We love a good water park, you’ll catch us slipping and sliding all summer long at Typhoon Texas! This family-friendly water park has a place for everyone in the family – from the littles to the big kids and adults!
Not only does Typhoon Texas have great slides, wave pools, and obstacle courses, they also have amazing events! Check out their Red, White & Boom event where you can enjoy live entertainment and of course a dazzling fireworks display! You’ll also want to stay for Neon Nite! Enjoy fog machines, neon slides, laser lights, and more!

Houston always has amazing art displays, but not many are interactive like Ernesto Neto’s SunForceOceanLife! This installation is 79 feet of crocheted netting filled with plastic balls that you and your friends can climb through and explore at the Museum of Fine Arts – Houston. Not only is it a fun installation to interact with, but the work is also stunning and bright.
SunForceOceanLife is available for viewing from now until September 26th.

We all know that the Heights House Hotel is already a unique place to stay during your visit to Houston. This bright and creative hotel’s new spot, Space Cowboy is a poolside bar with creative cocktails that will make you feel like you on vacation.

The Stuff to Do in Houston Team loves Steamy Buns, it’s a favorite amongst most of the team, actually! That’s why we love Caobao Steamy Buns, they have such a large variety of buns and frosty soft serve to finish off your meal.
We recommend trying their Cheesecake Eggrolls, Pulled BBQ Jackfruit Veggie Guaboa, and the Noodles Salad Bowl. Whatever you choose, you can’t go wrong here, it’s all delicious!

We had such a great time at Republic Aerial Yoga and we think you will love it, too! This takes yoga to a whole new level, it’s challenging AND fun! Stretch and decompress to reach ultimate relaxation.
Republic Aerial Yoga offers over 60 classes a week, and there is a class for everyone. Not only does Republic Aerial Yoga offer classes for every level, but they will also live stream classes so you can participate from your own home. We love a bar with a cause! Angel Share HTX is Houston’s newest charity bar and it’s gorgeous! Every month Angel Shart HTX will choose a Houston nonprofit to donate its proceeds to and we think that’s pretty darn awesome!
You can check out Angel Share HTX in Downtown Houston! Happy hour is daily from 4–6:30 PM and they offer craft beer, unique cocktails, and a beautiful atmosphere.
