Here’s How To Have The Best Bachelorette Weekend In Austin

A Story By

Some girls dream of their wedding day their whole lives… and some girls dream of their bachelorette party! Over the years, bachelorette parties have exploded into full-blown destination long-weekend trips and we’re here for the celebration. These trips are the ultimate chance for your best girls to rally around you and celebrate your next chapter in life. We might be a little biased, but we think you should spend your bachelorette weekend in Austin!

There is such a variety of things to do and the atmosphere here in Austin is unlike any other. We’ve also included a few trips just outside of the city if you want a change of scenery while you’re here. Tag us @StufftoDoinAustin in all of your bachelorette pics and let us know your favorite stops!

1. Rent a Party Barge on Lake Travis

Lake Travis is GORGEOUS, and no matter what time of year your bachelorette weekend in Austin is, getting out on the water is always a good idea. There are several boat rental companies that will take you out for the day and provide a captain, so you can celebrate responsibly. We recommend booking a boat well in advance, because this is a very popular activity and you don’t want to miss out!

This historic neighborhood has one of our absolute favorite vibes in Austin. The great news is that you don’t have to limit your options when you head to Rainey Street, there are so many bars and restaurants to choose from! Start at one end and stroll down the street and wander in and out of wherever calls to you. Some of our favorites include:

Tipsy Alchemist
Parlor Room

3. Stay At One of These Boutique Hotels

Austin is home to some of the cutest and most unique hotels and places to stay. They are photo-worthy and conveniently located near all the best restaurants, shops, and murals. If you’re planning your bachelorette weekend in Austin during the hotter months (let’s be real, that’s most of them), you’re sure to LOVE some of these hotel pools. Check out our picks and decide which one will serve as the backdrop for your wild weekend: The Austin Proper Hotel The Carpenter Hotel East Austin Hotel Archer Hotel South Congress Hotel Otis Hotel Heywood

4. Brunch, Duh.

Honestly, is it even possible to have a bachelorette weekend in Austin without going to brunch? We recommend going every morning, just because there are so many great options to check out! We’ve broken down our favorite brunches by neighborhood:

The Domain
East Austin
Downtown Austin

*Disclaimer: Holy Roller appears on our lists of best breakfasts/brunches, but has since shut down after these blogs were published.*

There are so many unique stores on South Congress to satisfy the shopper in all of us. Whether you’re looking for jewelry at the Kendra Scott flagship store or grabbing a cool retro coat at Aviator Nation (pictured), you won’t be able to leave SoCo without buying at least ONE thing to remember your bachelorette weekend in Austin. There are vintage shops, boutiques, shoe stores… make sure to make extra room in your suitcase for all your ATX finds!
