Matthew McConaughey’s just keep livin Foundation Throws “We’re Texas” Virtual Benefit

A Story By

Alright, alright, alright, Texas and friends of Texas!  We Texans experienced something that many of us never thought we would see in our lifetimes.  We weather hurricanes, tornados, and intense heat, but intense cold, ice, and snow is not something our state is prepared for. While the snow was magical and beautiful to look at, it caused many problems in our communities. Most of us went without power and water for days, as well as burst pipes and more damages caused by those burst pipes.

Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camilla’s foundation, just keep livin, is here to help with the We’re Texas Relief Fund.  This fundraiser is to provide safe spaces and necessary resources for Texans affected by these intense storms as well as supporting those volunteers helping with the long-lasting effects of the storms.

If you would like to donate to the cause, you can find the information by clicking “Donate Here”.

The We’re Texas Event will be broadcast live on McConaughey’s YouTube Channel and Spectrum 1 News. boasts some performances by some Texas greats such as George Strait, Post Malone, and Willie Nelson!  You can catch these artists, plus many more, like Kacey Musgraves and Parker McCollum this Sunday, March 21st at 7PM!

A little information on this wonderful foundation that is helping Texans in their time of need; McConaughey and his wife Camilla started the just keep livin Foundation as a way to help high school students have everything they need to succeed.  The namesake of j.k. livin is from McConaughey’s role in Dazed and Confused, “You gotta just keep livin, man.  L-I-V-I-N.”  This phrase not only helped him navigate life but also was the perfect fit for a foundation that helps teens live their best life.
