It’s a new year and new month in Tampa Bay, which means a new local love list! To kick off the new year, are you keeping up with your resolutions or just getting started? We’re bringing you a list of new places to checkout, fun places to stay, and events to make it a year to remember. Be prepared because you won’t want to miss all the fun here in Tampa Bay.

Tampa Fresh Food: An Art Exhibit by Lucy Sparrow

Art you all about finding new creative things to do in Tampa Bay? Kicking off January, a new art installation called Tampa Fresh Food will be coming to Tampa Bay. The event will be featuring a full life-size grocery store stocked with 50,000 handmade felt grocery items to checkout based on the Sew Your Soul exhibition by artist Lucy Sparrow. It will be stocked with fruits, vegetables, and meats of all things Florida. Tampa Fresh Food will be free to the public, but will also offer Sparrow’s pieces for an additional charge!

The Juice Pharm

If you’re looking to focus on your health in 2022, stop what you’re doing and listen up! The Dali Museum

Next on our local love list is the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg. With artwork like no other, you can visit the Dali Museum with works by artist Salvador Dali any day during the week. Salvador Dali is known for his art of iconic melting clocks to visual illusions. During your visit at the Dali Museum, you can shop, play, and wander around the museum for a unique experience in one of Tampa Bay’s fine art specialties. They also showcase certain exhibits during a specific time frame, so be on the lookout! One of our favorites to experience was the Van Gogh Alive exhibit.

Grassroots Kava House

It’s the new year and we’re all looking for ways to moderate our alcohol consumption, maybe you’re even trying #dryjan. This is where kava comes in. If you haven’t tried it yet, head to Grassroots Kava House. Kava is a natural, non-alcoholic drink known for its calming effects that reduce stress and anxiety. Make plans to head on down to Dunedin for some drinks at the Sonder Social Club. This spot is a great place to get a hand-crafted cocktail in Tampa Bay with friends, not to mention it’s Dunedin’s first craft cocktail bar!
