These authentic Neapolitan-style, wood-fired pizzas are sure to steal a pizza your heart! Ava begins each pizza with a natural sourdough starter then the finest Italian flour, rolling the dough daily and allowing it to rise slowly over three days. You’ll taste a difference with their San Marzano tomatoes and Florida-sourced mozzarella. Ava offers a gluten-free cauliflower crust and/or vegan cheese and sausage for any of their pizzas.
While waiting for your food, shop around at Bloom Shakalaka. This funky, fresh flower and gift boutique’s mission is to spread joy and we definitely think they are doing a great job! From the minds behind Rooster & the Till in Seminole Heights, we introduce to you, Gallito Taqueria. These street tacos are sure to be some of the best you’ve ever had! Our favorites to order are the chicken tinga with chipotle-braised and shredded chicken, lime crema, topped with cotija cheese.
At the Joinery, dessert is allowed before and after dinner! Mayday offers unique handcrafted artisan ice creams, like Raja Honey, Lavender Melange, and Coffee and Donuts flavor. We recommend ordering your ice cream in one of their house-made waffle cones and topping it off with their house-made galette and sprinkles. Not only is this ice cream totally photo-worthy, it’s also delicious! Mayday offers dairy free flavors, Hyppo popsicles, and Mayday Pints to-go, too.
At Plenty, you’ll want to eat plenty and for good reason! This Mediterranean inspired restaurant is plant-forward and serves savory whole food bowls, handhelds, plates, and skewers. We recommend the Plate-A-Plenty which includes a little bit of everything!
Sabu is Lakeland’s first traditional Japanese ramen shop and it doesn’t disappoint! They offer four different ramen bowls with nearly a dozen add-on options. We recommend trying one of the Japanese street snacks with your bowl, like the steamed pork buns. Sabu has gluten-free and vegan/vegetarian options too!
This next vendor is known for their self proclaimed bada** deliciousness and we couldn’t agree more! The Super Dope Spot is definitely where you want to indulge on your cheat day. They whip up a mean burger, including the Impossible burger, fried chicken sandwiches, wings, and crinkle-cut fries. And don’t forget the malted shake!
Whether you are looking to grab drinks with friends or find something to wash your meal down with, The Bar is your place! The Bar at the Joinery features many local Florida craft beers across their 24 taps, wine, and an assortment of craft cocktails, the Tropic Like It’s Hot being our favorite.
