Veteran's United Craft Brewery

If you want to try local beers on tap brewed right here in the Bold City, Veterans United Craft Brewery should be number one on your list. They currently have 22 beers on tap, and all but one of those are crafted in-house.

Craft beer started as a hobby to owner Ron Gamble when his wife gifted him an at-home beer making set. Now it is a passion as Gamble has assembled a crew of military veterans who are just as passionate about beer as he is.

Except for being closed on Monday, Veterans United has a different event going on every day. Tuesday is their weekly small batch release, Wednesday is the designated trivia night while Thursday is for Texas Hold’em, Friday they have live music, on Saturday they have afternoon tours of the brewery, and Sunday is reserved for any televised games. Keep in mind that the Saturday guided tours offer a souvenir tasting glass and sample pours for just $7 dollars! This is also a location on the Jacksonville Ale Trail, so bring your passports!

Happy 520

Boba and ice cream? Sounds like a match made in heaven to us! If you love Boba, Happy 520 is a must try if you’re in the Orange Park area. They have tons of delicious flavors in milk tea, fruit tea, cheese foam tea, and slushie or smoothie options! Some of our favorites from each category are the brown sugar latte, passion fruit green tea, and the taro smoothie! You can also add on various toppings such as boba, rainbow jelly, mango popping boba, egg pudding and cheese foam!

If you’re wondering what the name means, when you say the numbers five, two, and zero in Chinese it sounds very close to the words that mean “I love you” in Chinese as well. Isn’t that the most adorable thing ever?

They also have plenty of yummy flavors of gelato and sorbet to choose from as well. Some of the most unique flavors are fior de latte, Tiramisu, and mixed berry sorbet. You can also enjoy a gelato milkshake or a sorbet smoothie!
