When the kids are going to tag along, it’s important you’re both having fun! Austin is full of places with kid-friendly places and activities, so we put together a list of eight fantastic kid activities in North Austin!

Brentwood Social House

Brentwood Social House is a European-style café serving all of your favorite pastries, coffees, and teas. Their separate kid-friendly room is the perfect place to let the kiddos run around while you take some time to yourself. Their backyard has a playground and they often have craft opportunities!

Central Market has both a turtle pond and a playscape that are sure to keep your kids busy for hours. There is a cafe with a shaded patio, making it the perfect place to have a family outing or plan a play date!

Inner Space Cavern

Inner Space Cavern is open year-round to see one of the best-kept secrets! Go on an adventure tour, hidden caves tour, or hidden passages tour to explore what has been hiding underground. This will definitely be an event for the books, and is strongly recommended in our fantastic kid activities guide!

Ramsey Neighborhood Park

Ramsey Park is the perfect place to take your kid(s) out for some fresh air. There’s a tennis court and a pool, perfect for cooling off in the Texas heat! Once you’re done having fun with your family, we recommend stopping by Upper Crust Bakery for some delicious treats, which isn’t located far from the park.

Phil’s Icehouse

Phil’s Icehouse has some of the most delicious burgers we have ever tried. We recommend this restaurant specifically for the kiddos to have a good time on the massive playground they have while indulging in a burger that’s sure to make them happy. You’re getting a two-for-one deal: delicious food and access to what is essentially a park!

Mayfield Park and Nature Preserve

The Mayfield park preserve is a beautiful place to take in all that mother nature has to offer. They have peafowl that roam freely around the area that you’re usually greeted by at the entrance. Come to this preserve and teach the little ones about the history of the park, because this is definitely one of our favorite fantastic kid activities on our list!
