Calling all brunch buddies! Get your taste buds ready for a list of our favorite brunch spots in East Austin! Easily one of the fastest-growing neighborhoods in ATX. Where old meets new and rich history meets evolving cultures.
East Austin has got you covered with cool, fresh brunch spots. Check out some of our favorite spots to visit on the weekend, starting with a crowd favorite, Launderette!
Not only is Launderette one of the cutest spots in East Austin, but their flavors are also top-notch. If you’re ordering specialty items, get the Short Rib Hash or the Fried Chicken Sammie. As a side, we highly recommend ordering the Potato Latkes. You can’t go wrong with the pancakes either (pictured above).
Sawyer & Co is the closest you’ll get to New Orleans without leaving Austin. Not only do they get in A+ in our book for southern hospitality, but their Huey P Benedict is also unmatched. The benedict features a poached egg, cajun style pulled pork, and creole hollandaise right on a toasted biscuit. Say less!
Located in the East Austin Hotel, Sixth and Waller offers a delicious brunch with one of our favorite vibes, surrounded with pinks and blues! You can’t go wrong with ordering the Pastrami & Sunny Side Egg. While you’re there, be sure to order the Rosé Margarita.
Stella San Jac kills their brunch game, especially when it comes to their Lemon Buttermilk Pancakes, homemade biscuits, and their Fried Avocado Salad. Don’t forget to order brunch bubbles to pair with your food!
Make sure to schedule an after-brunch power nap after you eat at Snooze, because you will 100% need one. Snooze has every single brunch item you could dream of, and every item we’ve tried has been amazing!
Enjoy any kind of taco you can imagine at Mi Madres! Some of our favorite items are Taco #9 (house-made Machado, eggs, & pico) and the Breakfast Rito. We recommend ordering the Cafechata, which is half cold brew and half house-made horchata.
This top spot neighborhood eatery that serves house-made buttermilk biscuit sandwiches for breakfast & lunch is unbeatable. Be sure to order the Dough-Dough’s; we can’t get enough of those cinnamon sugar dusted biscuit holes that taste like heaven.
Restaurant and grocer, Hillside offers great food and ingredients to satisfy both your food cravings and health kick. Our favorite brunch item is the Pork Belly Benny and Freshly Made Biscuits.
