Green Earth Bistro
Described as the “little neighborhood restaurant”, Green Bistro has garnered a reputation as one of the coziest places in San Marco. Here, people know your name, and the workers seek to make this place your home as well. They specialize in Persian cuisine and the menu is loaded with good eats. Wondering what to try that’s vegan and vegetarian friendly? The signature Green Erth salad has a mix of greens with goat cheese, cranberries, pecans, onions, and more. And don’t worry if you’re vegan. Ask for them to take out the cheese!
A husband-and-wife team, Sam and Kiley Efron opened Taverna to create a delicious dining experience for those in the San Marco area. They have a list of seasonal menus which includes wines and handcrafted cocktails. On this menu, you won’t be running to a problem finding something that is veggie-friendly. Our go-to is the Citrus Marinated Beet Salad. Orange segments are mixed with almonds, greens, endive, and drizzled with a vinaigrette. This salad has goat cheese as well, but if you want, feel free to request a vegan-friendly substitution.
Hightide Burrito Co.
The tide is high in San Marco here at Hightide Burrito Co.! This spot has very fast service, but they still give you amazing food made from quality products. You can customize your food here, making it as veggie-friendly as possible. The house burrito is one of our favorites and comes with rice, black beans, sour cream, cheese, and romaine lettuce! You can also add a protein, and Hightide Burrito Co. offers tempeh to add to the burritos! Other options include quesadillas, tacos, and nachos.
European Street Cafe
To this day, European Street Cafe is known around Northeast Florida as one of the most popular and beloved spots to grab a bite to eat. Wondering why? The owners began this place as a way to express their love for European foods, and you can definitely tell in the food. They make you feel welcome with hearty foods and awesome service. You should have the Vegetarian Wiener. It’s vegan, fat-free, and it’s served with sauerkraut and chips!
The Olive Tree Mediterranean Grille
Why The Olive Tree? Well, for starters, we love the authenticity of this place. They specialize in Middle Eastern cuisine and what you see on the menu is the result of generations-old recipes. On their menu, they have a special section designated for vegetarian and vegan meals. The Falafel Pita is a tasty choice, and the Veggie Platter that comes with spinach pies, hummus, and more will fill you up!
