Town Beer Co.

Town Beer Co. offers the chillest vibes of all the bars in Jacksonville. They serve natural wines and only carry local beers, which as their slogan states, is the “Best Beer in town!” But this isn’t just a place to treat yourself to a drink, they always have something playing on their projector and offer popcorn for you to chill and sit back on their white leather hipster couch. Plus, if you like a good Instagrammable moment, they have a very aesthetically pleasing “Murray Hill” light that’s ready for a photoshoot!

Plus, the owners, Priya and Alex, are one of the coolest couples you’ll ever meet!

First, they began as only a nightly wine and beer bar, but within the past year, they expanded into a coffee bar serving coffee with beans from a roaster in Arkansas. Flamingo Wine Beer and Coffee Bar offer delicious coffee and another Instagram worthy hot spot! A good photo op is by their large flamingo light above their leather couch!

The person to thank for their delicious coffee is Paul Carr, he is the most chilled person in Murray Hill, and one of the friendliest employees. The rest of the staff is just as amazing as well! If you are looking for things to do in Jacksonville during JAGs season, you can watch the game playing on their TV. They also host small events sometimes.

Fishweir Brewing

Fishweir Brewery is a 1500 SF room with a (pet-friendly) 500 SF outside patio. They are a big sized, family-owned brewery and a local favorite! They serve craft beer and have a selection of wine, kombucha, sparkling water, cheese flights, and pretzels. We love their Johnny Apple Sour, and their annual Christmas beer is one of our favorite beer releases! Last year, their packaging featured Home Alone on it, and it was delicious! Every year we look forward to it and buy multiple 4 packs.

A little tip for parking is that there is a parking lot located behind Maple Street Biscuit Company on Mayflower Street.

Silver Cow Bar

Silver Cow Bar is the place to be if you love a cozy environment and board games. They have more board games than we’ve ever seen in any other place! This cozy and chill Murray Hill bar creates the perfect atmosphere to grab a beer and play a game of phase 10 on a weeknight. We love their berry ales, and whenever they’ve got a new one, we are the first ones there to try!

They are working on a new small bites menu to include in their happy hour specials for $5, in addition to their charcuterie board! They will include mozzarella sticks, tater tots, sweet potato fries, hummus, and more! Plus, plenty of vegan options to choose from and made with a separate fryer and sauces!

Fun Fact, their bathrooms are basically a club. You are definitely going to be making multiple trips to the bathroom.

Unwind and enjoy a drink in Tradewinds Bar’s laid back atmosphere. They offer cheap drinks, friendly staff, and booming karaoke! Perfect Rack Billiards

Perfect Rack Billiards is another one of Murray Hill’s bars that offer a place to hang out with friends, grab a drink, and play some pool! On top of pool games, they have a karaoke machine to showcase their customer’s talented voices. Their tater tots are the best in Jacksonville, and there is no better combo than tater tots and a Blue Moon at Perfect Racks!
