Philly’s Historic District, a.k.a Old City, brings you great vibes and even better indie boutiques. Not to mention, there are so many local artists and designers with galleries to showcase their killer work. Old City is also one of the few Philly neighborhoods to participate in “First Fridays,” where some of these galleries and shops stay open late on the first Friday of the month. They’ll host events with live music, food, special sales, and more! Head to 2nd and 3rd St, from Race to Market, where all the shopping magic happens!

South Street has the best combination of fun gift shops, used book stores, vintage clothing shops, and eccentric music stores. It’s full of one-of-a-small businesses with unique items. The neighborhood is also known for its art galleries, tattoo parlors, and the famous Fabric Row; home of the seamstresses, tailors, and upholstery shops. Plus, we have to mention the many food options (Tattoed Mom, MilkBoy, and Jim’s Steaks are some of our faves!). You might spend a little too much money on this shopping spree, but at least you won’t go hungry!
