There’s a new coffee shop pop-up on the Eastside!
Low Down Lounge is turning their space into a coffee shop during the day. The temporary coffee shop will offer espresso drinks, affogato, tea, and matcha. They plan to expand the menu soon, adding on bakery items. But for now, it’s all about getting a taste of their coffee!
One of our (and probably yours too) patios in town has new summer drinks, and we are so here for them. You need to try Aba’s new Groupie cocktails!
The seasonal menu is perfect for large gatherings at the restaurant, where one Groupie can serve up to 5 drinks. Choose from 3 watering cans, including the Shady Beach made with Grey Goose, Paloma Picante made with blanco tequila, and the Lazy River made with Uncle Nearest 1884 whiskey. We had the Shady Beach and it was so refreshing under the Texas sun!
Envie is opening this weekend, and kicking things off with a bang.
Join them at their grand opening celebration at Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches, as they introduce their beers and Mexican and cajun food. Menu items include Mulitas, crispy corn tortillas stuffed with melty Monterrey cheese, and Blue Bossa, buttermilk fried local green tomatoes in crispy Barton Springs Mill blue cornmeal. They even have elite!
If you love Red Ash, you’re going to love this new steakhouse.
The owner is the same so you can expect the same yummy taste to come out of J. Carver. The only difference is the menu, with it being more heavily focused on cuts. But they already have the famous Red Ash garlic bread on the menu, as well as their gnocchi. The new restaurant just opened this week and reservations are already filling up!

You may have heard of it before, from when Fat City Stacks had pop ups at Yard Bar. Well, now they have a permanent location. From the owners of Peached Tortilla, this fast burger joint slings out sliders and fries like no one’s business. They even have chicken tenders!
Tiki Tatsu-ya | The masterminds behind Ramen Tatsu-Ya brings a new island concept to their brand, and you know it’s going to be as popular. Opening late summer.
Fajita Pete’s | The Mexican chain is sizzling its way into Austin, and opening 5 locations along the way. It is scheduled to open its first one in August or September.
Ma’coco Cocina | The highly anticipated New Mexican restaurant is gearing up to open its East Austin doors soon. They are also currently hiring for various positions.
Yeni’s Fusion | Austin is getting a permanent Indonesian food truck, at the Aristocrat Lounge, this August. The fusion truck will blend Indonesian fare with American, Mexican, and Texas barbecue
