EPCOT Festivals

Festival of the Arts

An exciting festival at EPCOT is the Festival of the Arts. During this festival, you can see live music, watch performers display unique talents, and watch an artist draw a Disney character in minutes! There are many ways that guests can express their creative sides as well! You can help paint a larger-than-life mural or get taught how to draw a Disney character by an animator! You will also get the opportunity to buy some unique and one-of-a-kind Disney art and maybe even meet the artist behind the artwork!

Flower + Garden Festival

EPCOT offers multiple festivals and events throughout the year. The prettiest one is probably the Flower + Garden Festival! During this festival, EPCOT is full of living character sculptures as well as thousands of beautiful flowers! There are booths throughout the park offering refreshing garden fresh snacks as well as a butterfly garden! For entertainment, there’s the Garden Rocks Concert Series at the American Gardens Theatre. These shows take place multiple times a day! You can catch performances by both local and globally recognized artists!

Food + Wine Festival

The Food and Wine Festival is definitely something many people look forward to every year! Here, you can taste food and drinks from all over the world. The food is mostly served as shareable plates so everyone gets the chance to try a little of everything! Just like the Flower and Garden Festival, the Food and Wine Festival also has a concert series known as the Eat to the Beat Concert Series. These concerts usually consist of local and well known artists!

Festival of the Holidays

The last festival EPCOT offers is the Festival of the Holidays. This festival takes place during the holiday season and allows guests to learn about the different traditions that cultures celebrate around the world. Make sure you ask about the Christmas pickle tradition while you’re visiting Germany!

Rides

The best attractions at EPCOT

EPCOT is home to some of the most sought out rides at Walt Disney World! Frozen Ever After is located in the Norway Pavilion in the World Showcase. A fan favorite, especially for the kids, this ride takes you on a boat ride through the story of Frozen with Anna, Elsa and even Olaf! Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is another fan favorite at EPCOT. Here, you board a rollercoaster and help the guardians save the galaxy while listening to some of your favorite 80s hits!

Thrill rides

Epcot is also home to some great thrill rides. Along with Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, there’s Test Track and Soarin’. At Test Track, you get to design a car then you board that car and go through all the testing to see how reliable and efficient the car is while also competing with cars designed by other guests! Then there’s Soarin’ where you get the chance to fly over some of the most popular places around the world and see (and smell) things like you’ve never seen them before!

Indoor rides

EPCOT is also home to some of the best indoor rides at Walt Disney World. Rides like Living With The Land and The Seas With Nemo and Friends are not only great rides to get out of the sun, they are entertaining! These rides are a great thing to do in the middle of the day when you’re feeling overwhelmed, overheated and you just need a little time to relax and reset!

Rope drop

Just like with any other parks, there’s always a few rides that are best to rope drop! While Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is probably the most popular attraction, it does require a boarding group that you have to register for first thing in the morning through the My Disney Experience App. If you are visiting the park with little kids, Frozen Ever After may be the best ride for you to rope drop. If you’re looking for something a little more thrilling, Test Track or Soarin’ may be the better options for you to rope drop!

Shows

The best shows at EPCOT

Epcot also offers a wide variety of shows as well. While walking around The World Showcase, you can learn more about Canada at Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360, learn about China with Reflections of China, and you can even sing along with Belle and friends at the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along in France!

You can’t talk about shows at Walt Disney World without mentioning fireworks! EPCOT has their own new nighttime spectacular called Luminous The Symphony of Us. This show takes place over the World Showcase Lagoon, providing endless places to stop and watch the show! During this show you’ll see fireworks, fountains and lights along with music including Disney classics and new songs as well!

Food + drink

EPCOT is for foodies

Epcot is also home to some fun dining experiences! Each country in the World Showcase has their own restaurant where you can try out their traditional cuisine. In Norway at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall you can even meet some princesses while you eat! If you enjoy character dining you can eat at Garden Grill in The Land Pavilion. At this restaurant, not only do you get to meet Mickey Mouse and some of his best pals, but you get to try out some of the fresh produce you might have seen while riding Living with the Land! One of the most popular unique dining experiences at Epcot is Space 220. Here, you get the chance to travel into space and enjoy a space-themed meal! There’s nothing like eating the Galactic Salmon while looking out the window and viewing Earth from 220 miles up!

Epcot is also home to some great quick service and quick-bite food locations! Sunshine Seasons is full of a wide variety of healthy choices made with fresh produce grown on site! You can get great nachos in Mexico and traditional American barbeque at the American Pavilion. At Connections Eatery, you have the chance to try out some dishes from different countries around the world such as Italy and France. There are also booths located around the World Showcase that have small plates to share with unique snacks from each country!

Transportation

Getting to and around EPCOT

Just like all Disney Parks, there are a few different modes of transportation available near Epcot. Of course there’s a parking lot you can use if you drive there yourself. If you’re looking for an easy no worries type of transportation one of these other options may be best for you! Like all parks, all Disney resorts offer busses to and from the Epcot. These busses can also be used if you are park-hopping to another park throughout your day! Some Epcot resorts are also accessible by boat! All of the Disney resorts along the boardwalk, such as The Yacht Club, The Beach Club and The Boardwalk are accessible by boat. There’s nothing like a relaxing boat rides after a full day in the parks! The Skyliner is another form of transportation available at Epcot. The Skyliner will take you to multiple resorts such as Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Riviera Resort!
